Would leave 0 stars if I could. Ordered food from papa johns of uber eats at around 10:30pm, everything was fine to start of with, then just before 11pm, we get the “heading your way” on uber eats, completely normal. My only concern was no driver had actually accepted the food, I work in a retail shop that works with uber eats, just eat and deliveroo so I am already aware that once a driver accepts the order it shows their name, so no one actually accepted the order. After about an hour, we still had no food, uber gives an option at this point to request an update from the restaurant which I did, received nothing and then realised the restaurant closed at 11pm. So after waiting over an hour for food we realised we were never going to receive this. Usually if this happens I would take further action through uber eats but this was actually not there fault, this was papa johns fault, they never passed our order on to a driver because there was no driver that accepted the order. I understand that it is not their fault no driver accepted the order and it was closing so they probably just wanted to leave but this is no excuse for leaving our food in the restaurant. I work 8 hour shifts myself so I understand they just wanted to go home but is it really policy they just leave the food there if no driver shows up? The next morning I rang Papa Johns to speak to a manager, lady on the phone said the manager wasn’t there at this time which is fine, I then asked can i speak to who is in charge on the shift, which she replied “nobody’s here”. There is always someone in charge of a shift. This lady would not give me her name and then told me to ring back up 4 hours later when the Man from the night before who left our food there would be back. Waited and rang back, the man was extremely rude and refused to actually accept anything i had said, said he “handed it over” but couldn’t tell me who he handed it over to (there system would show the uber drivers name) but like i said there was no uber driver, he kept shutting me down and telling me to contact uber, i have done that but this wasn’t ubers responsibility, it was theirs. Will never order from here again, they were completely rude and not understanding. This was awful customer service and they need to learn some manners...

I called up at 5:30pm to be told it’s out with a driver I stated are you sure as you would have to look at my house before you got in a delivery vehicle. She said let me double check oh and it wasn’t out with a driver not even made it into the oven. Forget the app that told me it was out for delivery within half an hour. Once I got it seamed hot but pizza was massively undercooked and I ordered deep base and it was as thin as a pancake. All the toppings just fell off instantly. Chicken wings wouldn’t touch them, potato tots cold hard. If it costs £10 more for a dominos it is worth it. Plus no way to complain on the app or get any help with the order.
