Great night spoilt by very weird bathroom experience!
We had a great night, food was fresh and zingy as normal. Had met up with friends for a well overdue catch up, the atmosphere was fantastic until I went to the bathroom at the end of the night - as I was washing my hands I became aware of the sound of someone crying in one of the cubicles, I looked at the woman washing her hands next to me and we decided between us that we would knock on the cubical door. We could both hear very clearly the sound of deep sobbing and as I knocked on the door I realised it wasn't locked. We shouted through the door a few times asking if they were ok, when we realised the crying had stopped and we'd had no response I decided to push the door open, the cubical was completely empty apart from a woolly glove sitting on the cistern. We both stood there for a while trying to figure out what had happened - we looked for vents or speakers, we searched the entire bathroom but there was no one else in there and no other way out. We were both really freaked out at this point and decided to just get out of there. I know people might think this is silly but we both know what we heard and I still don't have an explanation for...
Read moreThe food as in nearly all Nando's restaurants was lovely. Sadly the staff here really let the place down. A disinterested host took our name and granted a very pleasant hostess showed us to our table. We ordered and paid up front via the app and our starters were on the table in 4 minutes. Very quickly followed by the mains which were dumped unceremoniously on the table by the waitress who cared not one bit that the starters were only halfway eaten. Giving us a dirty look for not immediately responding to who's starter plate she should put the main with pineapple on top of.
We ate our main and waited for dessert... and waited... and waited. 3 tables sat and had their food and left. We asked after dessert, the wrong order was read back, he went off to check, we waited and waited. The dessert finally came out. Missing the ice cream.
We did get an apology when the ice cream came out but sadly we're now in a rush. The centre closes soon and we have shopping to do.
Shame really, but clearly the pay is poor and the staff aren't too fussed.
Time to up your game management. Your staff clearly don't have your back and that means you clearly don't...
Read moreAs a table of 9 on a Sunday night (6.45 ish) we thought we would get a table no problem, wrong! They were full and we were told it would be a wait of around 30minutes-anyone with young children will know this is not ideal. Thankfully they agreed to allow us to sit downstairs. We had Matt looking after us for the evening and what a superstar he was. I think in all my years of eating out Matt has supassed any good service we have ever had. From getting sauces for us from upstairs (the stairs are a nightmare), to giving the children stickers as a kind gesture, to sorting out our portion of missing chips without any hestitation and simply just being very attentive, with a great can-do attitude. May I note that he was doing all of this while sorting out the delivery drivers. Well done Matt, keep it up-what a great guy you are!! Thank you for making our night out a great one. We look forward to seeing you and the team again soon! Food was great...
