King of Breakfast — Restaurant in East Lindsey

Service - n/a as there wasn't really any apart from paying and the staff member putting mushrooms on my plate. Everything else was self service.

Atmosphere - there wasn't any! It was pretty much empty and the place is huge. No music playing, no chat between customers and staff.

The food was terrible and luke warm! Sausages weren't cooked fully and were the cheapest, nastiest ones that are available to caterers. Bacon was very salty and dry. Fried bread was terribly greasy - even for fried bread which one expects to be greasy! This was fried in cheap oil which could be tasted with every mouthful. Fried egg was okay and well cooked. Toast was available but has to be toasted yourself in a catering toaster (like those at hotels abroad) so I didn't bother having any as my already lukewarm food would have been cold by the time my toast was ready! Baked beans were standard. Hash browns were fairly nice, well cooked and quite crispy. Chips - on a breakfast! - were probably the nicest item available. Chunky, well cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For £7.95 it was cheap enough, but the quality of the food really let this establishment down. Give this place...

My experience there was bad. Guy on till was the owner. I did not get a coffee I'd ordered so went back and asked for it as you would. He said they were busy although there was no queue. I said no problem. As in I did not get my coffee straight away it happens. The owner and a member of staff then made out that I'd ment it as I did not care they were busy and was only concerned about my drink. I also asked for a can of pop went to pay for it with my change and owner seen I had loads of pound coins so asked if I'd change them for cash. Gave him 10 pound coins and he said I'd only given him 9 after randomly chucking them in till. I did not have another pound. He then said its OK I will just loose out on a pound it's only his business as if I was trying to rob him of it. Been coming here for years Original owner has left 😢 Visited the place April 2025 and the place has gone down hill I won't be going back at all I was over charged for 3 alduts when it was just me and my grandchild when I confronted the man about this he couldn't understand what I was saying as he spoke very little English another staff member tried to help then I was charged for two adults it was pointless trying to tell them shes a child Had to wait for eggs and bacon to be cooked all the other options like beans tomatoes hash browns were barely warm they also found it very difficult to cope and that was without a queue.
