This was our first visit to a Miller & Carter after hearing rave reviews from friends an family for years, we finally treated ourselves and what a treat it was. We arrived about 10 mins early but we're seated promptly our waitress was the lovely Karen, not living upto the Internet namesakes thankfully. She was a delight, immediately felt like we'd known her for years an old family friend. We ordered drinks and checked out the menu a little overwhelmed by all the options but managing. When Karen popped back to take our order we had decided to order the butchers block 25oz sharing platter as it comes with 3 different types of steak we usually order steak medium rare but we did change one to medium on Karen's recommendation. With the sharer you get a dressed lettuce wedge each a side each and a sauce each when it came to choosing sauces, all I knew was that I wanted to try the infamous beef dripping sauce but our good friend Karen had another recommendation which was to also get the rich red wine sauce and combine them she so was so enthusiastic about this how could we not do it. I honestly believe she made the experience so much better we probably would have got standard peppercorn other wise. When the food arrived it all looked an smelled fantastic juicy steak cooked perfectly the beef brisket topped bone marrow was delicious but the absolute best part was the two sauces mixed together absolutely divine and I don't even like wine usually. An excellent overall experience, food, atmosphere and service all 10/10. Its not somewhere we could eat every weekend as you do have to pay for the standards they're serving of course however at the same time I do believe we had excellent value for money aswell. Can't wait to book our next visit. (If you're reading this M&C Cheshire Oaks could you please pass on our regards and thanks to Karen for her excellent service)

Me and my partner visited here this afternoon as a walk in, we were greeted by a lady and shown to a table. The lovely lady sat us down and came to ask us about drinks. We were then greeted with another staff member named matt, he was very friendly and polite and made our experience great. Matt suggested a couple of items on the menu and they were all really good suggestions. We ordered off the lunchtime set menu, my partner had the sticky chicken bites I think they were called, which were absolutely amazing would highly recommend to order these. I ordered the baked cheesy mushrooms which again were 10/10 also came with a lot of mini rosemary bruschettas i think the taste was, and the portion was very decent for a starter. We both ordered a steak of course and they were cooked lovely, accompanied by the beef dripping sauce which really complimented the dish and just wanted to drink it 😂 we also ordered a mac and cheese and we are big mac and cheese lovers and it was up there with one of the best. The bill came to around £60 for the two mains and two large drinks of spirits and mixers. All in all it was a very relaxing visit and we will be returning in the near future. Matt deserves a pay rise for his amazing customer service skills, and all of the other staff members were great too, keep up the good work guys 👍🏻😁

I've been wanting to go to the Miller and Carter for a few years now, and whilst me and the Mrs was celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary, we decided to treat ourselves to a night away and a meal at the Miller and Carter. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!! I have NEVER eaten a steak anywhere near as nice as here, in fact, after eating here I'm not even sure I've ever eaten steak before haha 😆. The food was absolutely unbelievable. The waiter was extremely professional and friendly, quick and knew his stuff (which is always a BIG plus) I can honestly say that everything we had whilst there (mains, sides, desert and drinks) was PERFECT, none of it was anything less. Usually there's always 1 thing you have where you think, "I've had better" or "it was ok but nothing special" but not this time. I was totally blown away and would 100% recommend it. It is expensive, please be aware of that, but even if you only go for a special occasion, you will not regret it. I can't wait to go back 😁

Decided to dine here on a Saturday early doors at 5pm to avoid the busy period. We ordered more or less straight away but the food took 45 minutes to arrive. This was more of an issue for us as we had our 2 year old with us who was getting restless and hungry! We ordered the butchers block and asked for the steak to be served medium. Steak came out well done so it felt dry and was not as enjoyable as it should be. Food was luke warm so I can only imagine it was sat on the side for a while before being served. Although there was high chair facilities, there was no baby changing facility in this restaurant. For some reason the radiators were on full whack in the toilets at the end of July so i struggled to breathe in there. Probably wouldn’t come back to this restaurant as personally didn’t think it was worth the money. It isn’t very child friendly either.

Delicious food and a fantastic menu available all cooked perfectly Served in warm surroundings and by friendly and helpful staff.. The restaurant has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is a ideal place to eat at any time of day or night.. We had a three course meal with drinks and the price was very reasonable. Had a little wait between starters and the main but to be fair the restaurant was very busy at the time.. But it was worth the wait.. Miller and Carter are renowned for their steak... And it did not disapoint.. My rump steak was cooked to perfection.. Again my starter of carrot soup was piping hot and tasty.. Wasn't keen on ordering it but our server suggested I tried it..desert was apple and rhubarb crumble with custard.. Again delicious.. Highly recommended..

We had a lovely indulgent meal for my birthday. My husband had the 30 day fillet steak which he thought was a bit standard, not that special and had some gristle, so I dropped a star unfortunately, but I had the chef's recommended 50 day rib eye which was so good, and then we indulged and ordered an extra limited edition Australian Aberdeen Angus steak to share which was AMAZING. The best steak I have ever had. Ryan served us and explained everything since we hadn't been before, he was lovely and friendly, and the steak was cooked to perfection. I also had a lovely cocktail which looked as good as it tasted! Not somewhere I would take the whole family on account of the cost, but as a treat meal for 2 I would definitely go again.
