We had a very long wait for our food, at least 30-40 minutes, but we were told this prior to ordering, so our choice to stay.

Chips are always served in a tin cup, lined with grease proof paper. However, when the chips are tipped out on the plate, there really are not many. On this occasion, not only were there only a few chips, they were cold. We spoke to a server but were told it would be 45 minutes before they could replace the cold chips and/or allow us to buy a separate portion of chips.

My question/suggestion to the owners of Arcado Lounge (and other places in this chain) .....if you were to do away with the tin cups, there would be less washing up. If you were to do away with the grease proof paper, there would be less paper waste. Doing away with both of the above would, not only be better for the environment, but less cost to yourselves AND that cost in savings you could pass on to your customers in the form of......more chips on the plate!!!! I really do not know anybody who loves your tin cups with just a few chips in.

Other than the situation with the cold and lack of chips....the burgers were good.

Great Gluten Free range, but they always tell you that they cannot guarantee the food is completely GF because there might be cross contamination. If you have a serious gluten intollerance, do not take the chance...

This restaurant has taken years off my life. The irony being it was meant to be a birthday treat. The wait for food, despite being half full, was interminable, made endurable only by the available boardgame from down by the bar. Thanks to the echoing noise we struggled to hear the quiz questions but it kept the kids diverted. Ah, the kids. We ordered the eldest teen a non-alcoholic cocktail. A cherry fakewell, since you didn't ask. She then got carded because it had alcohol in it. Erm, what? A replacement was not offered for it, although later the nice bartender (the only member of staff not chewing a wasp) later served a replacement when I asked. The app to order food was unnecessarily stressful. I wish I'd ordered at the bar, which I had to do twice anyway. Or do I wish that? The food was unexpectedly pedestrian (12 tapas dishes and aside), and unfulfilling. Kids especially wished they had ordered a proper main instead. Just not from here but any one of the neighbouring restaurants. Desserts were ok, as demonstrated by their inhalation. Won't be back. Not as good as the...

I had birthday meal with my family in Arcado Lounge today 13th of January 2018. Unfortunately music was so loud that we couldn't even hear eachother. Asked politely one of really nice waitresses to turn it down. After 10 mins music was loud again. My partner gone to the bar and asked manager very politely again to turn the music down, been told to move the table than. WOW!!! so unprofessional impolite and totally unacceptable. Shockingly been challenged by bar staff at our table and been told to chill out!!!We had 3 years old and two over 70 years old with us and been in the middle of our meals. Manager and bar staff were keep turning music up and down. I have to say we r living in Christchurch and visiting your pub years but never had such a bad experience. People in charge should be wise polite and experienced. They definately need further training and this shouldn't been happening to any customers. very...

Could 100% be a nice place. But the price doesn't match the quality of food at all. I got the lunchtime deal with the panini and soup, neither one was very good. The panini wasn't toasted, just warm and the soup was just watery tomatos. We also got the Sausage & Egg Breakfast Muffin. This was just rubbish, it was one sausage, a microwaved egg and two/three slices of cheap cheese. It took a whike to arrive considering what it was. The person who brought us our food seemed to be the only one actually doing any work. They asked if we wanted any sauces and we said yes, he never came back with them because he then had to move on to another table. Despite being 2 other visible members of staff sitting around. We also had a dirty mug left at our table as we were told to sit wherever, it wasn't removed untill after we left, despite people collecting other glasses.

Unfortunately our experience wasn’t great on Sunday evening. Overall the food was so bland, and looked like it had been sitting around for a while. I had to ask for the remaining bits of our food several times, and I still didn’t receive it all. When i said the carrots served with the humus were soggy and old, and I wasn’t happy giving them to my child. I saw and heard the chef and waitress mockingly discussing it. We got even worse carrots back! Carrots that you can bend/are brown/haven’t been peeled should not be served and I’m surprised any chef would allow that to come out of a kitchen let alone for a child. The waiters were lovely, it’s a fun Themed and relaxing place for everyone, kids included. But wouldn’t eat the food again particularly from the chef who looked like he would rather be doing anything else but working there.
