Considering this is opposite a chain "Cafe Bar" this place proves its superiority by offering a friendly greeting, an excellent drinks menu and lovely choices in the "Light Bites" department. My usual go to of a skinny cortado with a plain croissant to dunk we're perfect. The coffee was well made in the most adorable cup & saucer, my croissant crispy (it was offered to be warmed but I prefer the crispy flakiness of a fresh on the day cold croissant).and served with lots of butter. The atmosphere was cosy yet relaxed and informal but most of all welcoming for a girl on her own (and I wasn't the only lone diner). The toilet facilities were clean and in good repair & clearly checked regularly too. Always an important consideration in a good business! This particular café is just so handy, located in the beating heart of Christchurch, Dorset. I like the distinctly maritime theme which forms a good part of the interior décor. Going in here for a café latte or mug of tea is part of what makes life that much more pleasurable. The staff are all very efficient, polite and do their best to help those in need. The prices are also reasonable and the food selection seems good.

Christchurch is a town which I have come to really love spending time in and have rarely had a bad experience in the 25 years I have known it. I have heard many people saying that there are "too many cafes in Christchurch", but I would opine that being spoilt for choice is a positive aspect of having this retail centre so close to home.

EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK !! Ordered our food with the girl on the till, no customer service whatsoever..long black nails(nail varnish) , hair not tied back, false eyelashes.. took my order and a couple other peoples too Proceeds to food prep area, takes out food to put together my order , no hands washing here , no hair tied still, hands all over face, hair , even her nose, no hand washing here or gloves or food tongs just the dirty disgusting hands used on, by this point , everything that can contaminate my food, even her phone and popping food into her mouth by this point. Most of the people working here are of the same work ethic, no personal hygiene,hair hanging , no gloves, absolutely no hand washing,definitely no food safety, kitchen hygiene taught here.
