The splash park is lots of fun for children and builds on the educational elements of water play with the use of dams etc. The play park area next to the splash park has lots of elements to it including a swing that's been adapted to offer more support to a child who may have additional needs. There are toilets just across the grass. The grassy area is lovely for a picnic and games (if not too busy!). Dogs are welcome here too. There is a seasonal kiosk for hot drinks and ice creams and at the other end of the grass is a cafe which is open most of the year. There is also a place to hire a motor boat for a jaunt up the river or a short walk up to the gardens, priory and historic town of Christchurch.
