Hatch Gallery — Attraction in Christchurch

We visited Hatch gallery as we were pleased to catch it open on one of our visits to Christchurch and were keen to discover some local artists. We were the only people in the gallery apart from 2 people who we took to be the proprietors. Despite there being some lovely pieces in the gallery we found the 2 people in it to be less than helpful and engaging in that we walked around both floors with no contact whatsoever. It was more dissapointing when upon leaving a local person entered the gallery to a warm reception. We left empty handed and felt snubbed. Don't think we will be going back. I would highly recommend this beautiful art gallery to everyone. It has a great selection and a unique style. Lots of beautiful original art combined with country chic and rustic. We found it to be a really inspirational gallery. There were also lots of bespoke vintage items which were perfect when looking for something creative for a present....

A fantastic little Gallery with a suprisingly wide choice of art, and must say they were very helpful with friendly advice regarding what I was looking for, without any pushy sales...
