Cafe Venus — Restaurant in England

The food here is of good quality, I particularly enjoy their omelets and well-priced breakfasts, such as the Large English Breakfast for £5.00 (which includes 2 Bacon rashers, 2 Eggs, Sausage, Hash brown, Tomatoes, Beans, Mushrooms & Toast). Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

They have decent wifi for customers and a semi open kitchen. They also stock a wide selection of San Pellegrino drink cans, my favourite being the Aranciata Rossa (Blood Orange).

Card machine was broken. Had to use cash machine across the road charging £1.50.

Was told it would take half an hour for 2 sausages sandwiches, and OJ and a bottle of water. OJ took 25mins...other people got coffees faster being served after us.

Food took 45mins for 2 sandwiches. Other people getting similar food again got it faster than us when they came in later. Lots of people were complaining. There were at least 5 staff and only about 8 tables of 1/2/4 people.

Pleasantly surprised by this little cafe! I tend to seek quiet places to relax and enjoy breakfast or coffees and l must say Cafe Venus has now become a place l will remember to stop by more often. Prices are very good, the menu has a fair selection and the staff is very nice. The only suggestion l could make to them is to work a bit more on presentation of the dishes, maybe checking online for some ideas, no doubt they will get there. Looking forward to my next stop...
