I really hate leaving bad reviews on nice places but wanted to warn people.

I've had a Sunday roast here three times. Each time was booked, each time the pub was half empty, and each time we waited well over an hour for our food. Today my friends and I went, two of our party had finished their dinner by the time mine and my friend's arrived. We ordered at 4.30 and our food arrived at 6.15. It's totally unreasonable and unacceptable.

Yes the food is good - even though some of my meal was missing - , but waiting nearly 2 hours for a meal in a pub that has 15 people in it is totally ridiculous. I don't want to eat here again and I'm going to warn other people too.

I know it's not a one off as the other two times we waited over an hour as well. Neither were at peak times either....

Came for a Sunday roast, excited about vegan roasts and that vegan Yorkshire puddings were on offer which is always rare. Unfortunately only one of the two vegan options were available, and no vegan Yorkshires either. I spoke to the staff to ask for an alternative to replace this on the dish (so as not to be short changed) and was made aware we’d get extra potatoes and stuffing. All vegan dishes arrived with non-vegan Yorkshire puddings and the same amount of additions as non-vegans. Very disappointed that despite explaining this it was not relayed appropriately and we were given egg/dairy. Flagged to the staff, did receive an apology but not an attempt to make this mistake up. Still one of the best Sunday roasts. We've been coming for Sunday lunches for a few years now and of course the roasts have been consistently excellent. The weekday chef has taken on the weekends and my oh my, "Reggae roasts" are a genius idea! You've the standard favourites of lamb, honey pork, nut roast, etc. But new to the game are Jerk chicken (pictured, delicious), Goat curry and others. Still large servings but now almost doable if you come hungry. The plantain was caramelised and complemented the jerk flavour orderly. Was it a bit Smokey or did I just want it to be? It was something I'll be coming back...
