5 star gourmet food? Not as such, but a very fair sausage-in-a-bun, and very good coffee, both cups, served with a genuine smile and polite conversation, and all at a reasonable price. The things that stood out for me were the strikingly pretty view across the bay, framed by shrubby, wildlife-filled cliffs an either side of the shack, and the fearless robins come to demand their due. The girl serving mentioned that one Robin will actually hop onto her finger to feed from her palm. You've just got to admire Robins for their shere cheek. Having easily found free parking on the hill above the cabin, the added bonus is the walk back around the bottom of Battery Park along the coast path, watching trawlers and crabbers going about their business, back up to the car. An hour very well spent. Highly recommended.

After checking the menu online and seeing how beautiful the location 6 of us driving 2 cars from chudleigh visited today looking forward to Brixham crab sandwiches as advertised and to sit over looking the sea. Drive parents down as their both older and struggle to walk we pulled a few tables together and went to order only to be asked to move a car displaying a disabled badge which I had no issue with but quickly checking menu to order we were told they haven’t done crab for a longtime. We decided to drive into brixham after being disappointed with menu. Such a shame as been planning a visit for a longtime. Take the crab sandwiches off your menu

Excellent cafe, a lot of choices for sandwiches or cakes and excellent choice of hot drinks. You can even get a sausage for your dog. Would highly recommend this cafe before or after a walk to Churston Cove or to the Grove (Elberry and Marridge Woods). Plenty to do NCD see around this area including Battery Gardens.

Not a place for older people. Took my parents for a cream tea. After a challenging walk my parents (in their 80's) took the only seats that remained. They were abruptly informed that they couldn't sit there as this was the takeaway table. A couple kindly offered to take their ice creams away so that we could then have their table. We informed the waitress. The "cream tea" then arrived in "chip shop style" takeaway boxes and paper cups (rather than the nice china others had). We politely asked why and were told that it was a takeaway as we didn't have a table when we ordered. We asked for a spoon to take the tea bags out of the paper cups and received a terse response that "there are stirrers on the table over there". All in all a really...

I had the most delightful visit to this beach today with my two kids! We stumbled upon a hidden gem of a beach café that serves my new favourite - the perfect pumpkin spice latte to get into the Halloween spirit on a mild October beach day. The view? Absolutely breathtaking, and if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a playful seal or two!

The two lovely ladies running the café greeted us with such warmth and kindness — it’s clear they truly care about making everyone’s experience special. They’ve created a spot that feels like home, right by the sea. Wishing them all the success they deserve, and we can’t wait to come back...
