Went here on a Tuesday evening before an event held at the BIC. We arrived with about 2 hours prior to the show starting.
It started with people being sat long after us were getting served before us. Once we did finally order, the drinks came wrong, though they did correct it swiftly. We then waited well over an hour for our food to arrive in which other people who ordered after us were getting their food way before ours. The wait came as a bit of a surprise as we noticed that the restaurant had quite a few empty tables.
Eventually when it did arrive, there was a side dish missing and another had been sent completely different to what was ordered. By this point with time getting on we were so hungry that we had accept the food as we felt refusing it would have meant us going without.
The food itself was nice and plentiful. But when there are the issues we had, it felt like the premium price tag was not really justified.
Upon paying and leaving. We overheard several tables complaining of similar issues and which seemed to create a negative atmosphere coming from the waiting tables.
I do appreciate that we are all humans at the end of the day and it may have just been a bad night however, it was a shame that the experience turned out like that. As we ended up rushing so that we...
Read moreI've been here a few times now. Amazing burgers (I didn't like burgers before I ate at FiveGuys). It's fresh and delicious. The cajun fries are my favourite, I wish they sold the seasoning. The milkshakes are delicious, not overly sweet and have a lot of flavours to choose from. Suprisingly I also didn't like milkshakes before I tried FiveGuys version.
The place is always clean except, of course, where others have just left their tables. I was very surprised on my first visit to find that FiveGuys doesn't smell of burgers. The smell of burgers isn't my favourite and the smell is one of the reasons I wasn't a fan of burgers before eating here. How the place doesn't smell of burgers is a mystery to me. Lastly, the workspace where they actually cook the burgers, chips etc. is always clean.
The customer service at this particular FiveGuys is the best customer service I have ever received, anywhere, at any establishment. I've worked in pubs and hotels my whole life and trust me, it gets no better than here. They are a lovely small team, always smiling, friendly, chatty and polite. Shout out especially to the manager whose name slips my memory, I do enjoy going to FiveGuys to see her as much...
Read moreMy third visit to a Five guys. Third time unlucky, my first two burgers from Five Guys, one from Brighton and the other from Brighton marina, were both really good.
So whilst checking out Bournemouth University with my daughter we headed in to the town centre to get something to eat and as soon as I saw a Five Guys, made a beeline for it.
Staff were friendly and service ok, except my meat patties were placed in the cheese burger before they had even started to cook the parties for my daughter's burgers.
Not only was my burger on the cool side of luke warm but something did not taste right. Either the pickles I added were off or something was wrong with the meat. The burger was not really editable as tasted so bad. As not a fan of skin on fries, all I ordered was the burger.
My wife and daughter had no issues with their hot fresh burgers and enjoyed their first experience of Five Guys.
The experience has put me off, I will not be visiting another Five Guys, at...
