Iāve previously tried Slim Chickens when the branch on Bishopsgate, London first opened, and I was very impressed. I was on a day trip in Bournemouth on 12 July 23, and I was craving some chicken, so of course this is the place to come! I ordered the Honey BBQ Chicken Burger Meal and Chicken Tenders. I also got the blue cheese and gravy mayo dips. Firstly, the quality of the food was amazing and everything was fresh and hot! The chicken burger was very flavoursome and was of a good size. The Honey BBQ chicken was sweet and smoky, and the taste perfectly executed my tastebuds. The chicken tenders were well seasoned and again the portions were amazing! The size of the tenders were brilliant, and they were very juicy and succulent. Slim Chickens dips were fantastic, and i would highly recommend pairing the gravy mayo dip with their chips. The chips were fantastic, cooked to perfection and the portion was good. Although I did think it was slightly expensive at Ā£16.45, the quality and consistency of the food was great, and the drinks are bottomless. Moreover, the customer service here was amazing. I wish I asked for her name to give her a shout out but the lady with the glasses who was working around 1pm on 12 July 23 was amazing, she was very hard working and passionate. Her customer service was fantastic! Please give her a bonus Slim Chickens, she thoroughly deserves it! The overall atmosphere of the store was fantastic, and the branch was very clean and had plenty of seating. You know what? Honestly, Slim Chickens is better than KFC and the quality of the food was just absolutely fantastic. I reckon if they add some more burger options to the menu, theyād be right up there with KFC. Overall, I highly recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas here a while ago for the Airshow so it was undoubtedly busy and was our third choice after everywhere else being packed or needing a reservation. That said, it was a very different from what we were aiming for and as a choice made on a whim it was good enough and I was overall very impressed.
Thereās your usual range of fried chicken items such as wings, tenders, sandwiches and wraps with a long list alluring sauces; but I was pleased to see a plant-based burger option (thereās plant-based tenders too). Itās was good and comes with a very generous portion of fries all delivered in an American style fast food basket. Myself opting for the Inferno sauce which was flavoursome and had a decent kick.
It was busy, but we timed to just right to get a table and got our food fairly quickly considering the constant flow of punters. That in mind, the staff were working very hard to keep the place moving whilst trying to keep it clean and tidy, which it wasnāt really at the time, but that purely would have been down to the mad rush and it was likely to be at that pace all day with the additional clientele from the Air Show.
Keen to go back to one of these. Try the real chicken and the...
Read moreWell where do I start. Got there at 8:55. Three quarters of the place was shut down. So as you can imagine very small area to eat in. There was 9 of us. Was told to sit separately not together as they need to clean. They shut at 10pm. Not good at all. As we do this every year as a family meeting. 6 out of 9 of the chips were cold. From this time I counted 14 people in 20 minutes left as no were to sit. At £12 per person not the best way to do business. Especially when they close at 10pm. At 9:30 a sign went up saying take away only. I go in here once a week. The person that has this franchise probably doesn't know. No way to manage a business. We told the manager and he said have some milkshakes on us. So instead of letting us sit together it cost the company 7 milkshakes. Make's no sense at all. Chicken was great. As a past manager myself I would of let us sit together and cleaned the tables myself when we left. If you need a manager please feel free to contact me. I have taken a short video if you would like it. I worked out approximately £168 lost in one hour. That's a lot of money per year. That's just the people that walked in not the one's that looked...
