I’ve never been to Prezzo before but my friend it for her birthday so whilst in Bournemouth I decided to take her as a special treat. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. However it took over 20 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, then the food approx 10 mins later. When the food came (over 30mins later) it was stone cold to touch! BOTH pasta dishes! We sent these back for this reason then they appeared again 10 mins later but with the same parmesan on so had just clearly been placed under a hot plate or in the microwave to be reheated!! The cheese was crusty on top and the dishes were bone dry!!! We sent these back AGAIN and waiting ANOTHER 10/15mins for fresh plates. When they came they were ok and at least cooked to an edible state this time! What they should’ve been like in the first place! By this time (nearly 90mins of arriving!) we were both past it and I left half of mine. The lady serving us was very good and apologetic but how was this allowed?? Do you not have standards?? We then recieved our bill at the end with no discount or good will gesture whatsoever which left a very sour taste in my mouth! As it was a friends birthday treat I didn’t want to argue the bill but that service is extremely poor and I begrudged paying £43 for the food we received! Absolutely appalling! Save your money and go elsewhere! I...
Read moreFood was delicious and waitress was so lovely, friendly, chatty and welcoming- my 5 year old took a shine to her! 3 huge stars for that.
Front of house man- 2 big stars lost for him. Smthg smarmy abt him. Pulled out chairs and attentive to most guests, yet we were just pointed to a table and he left in silence- did not pull out chairs for me!!?? sat us in coldest part of exposed restaurant by front door. I asked to be moved as i had a child who would feel cold. Was told "i am afraid not" and walked off, yet the place had loads of free tables!! At one point during meal, he reached over me making me have to jolt back as he collected our plates with no communication from him.. like how was the meal? Can i take your plates? We didnt feel welcome by him at all, his 'coldness' was very apparent, so was his ill fitting shirt!!! If i didnt have my 5 yr old with me, who was tired and hungry as it was our first day Bournemouth, he would have known my reaction in person. Not used to behaviour like this- oh well- ya cant win them all!!! He left a bad after taste for me-
The food and our lovely waitress made up for a lot...
Read moreWould give 0 stars if I could. Booked a table for my daughters birthday on Saturday. When we got there they put us in the 'family section' so we asked for a bigger table as there was plenty in the other side. The manager said he would try and seat us there later but some people don't wanna sit near kids. He then went to take our order and a table next to us moaned as they had been sitting 15 mins and no one took their order. He did move us about 20 mins later after we had ordered. The food then arrived to the table, the waitress had ordered the wrong meal for me. She didn't actually apologise or make it clear she had ordered the wrong food she just said mine would be along in a minute. My food didn't arrive until the rest of the family had finished eating theirs. Consequently I didn't want it as I didn't want to eat alone. They did give us the meal for free but that doesn't excuse the fact I didn't actually eat and the poor service all round. Our waitress then tells us as we leave we aren't welcome there any more. Shocking service. One waitress tried her best to sort things out but by then it was too late. Avoid...
