From arrival to departure, everything was fantastic. We arrived wearing our motorbike gear asking if we could have a table. We were greeted by a welcoming lady who found us a table. A couple of minutes later our drink orders were taken, followed shortly after by our food order. The ambience of the Olive is great and relaxing, and the same time giving you a feeling of fun and laughter. The staff are very polite and accommodating, providing a professional service. Our food choice was the roast, one beef, and one lamb. The flavours were incredible, fresh season vegetables and tender meats. This is an establishment for that little bit extra special dining experience. Thank you all.

Possibly under new ownership. The roast was a headline act of this restaurant and been having it for a while, but visited recently and it’s not the same. All covered in salt and so much grease (see all the grease that came off just the veg!) Table service didn’t seem as slick; one table occupied by them eating lunch, belongings, laptop and menus. Not a great look as it’s the first table when you walk through the door. Generally seemed flustered and inattentive. Shame as have always enjoyed Olive, but the recent changes have made it not worth the higher price tag in Brixham.

We visited Olive for Sunday lunch following a recommendation by a friend and we were not disappointed at all. In fact one of the best roasts we have ever had. Beautifully presented, flavourful and plenty of beautiful vegetables. I had the slow cooked lamb which just fell off the bone and my partner enjoyed his beef. A special mention to Chloe who seated us and regularly attended to us throughout the meal. Lovely lady and very attentive but not overly so. What a delightful restaurant this is. We will be back soon for tapas!

I was really looking forward to my first Sunday lunch here after seeing lots of photos and positive posts. How disappointing 😞 on arriving was kept waiting even though staff walked passed several times! We eventually got seated, and staff were swift to get our drinks order, so we ordered our lunch at the same time. Drinks came very quickly. Unfortunately our for took 45 mins!!! Firstly I noticed food sat on the counter tops for upto 10 mins plus!! Which was then brought to our table, vegetables which were stone cold!!!! I asked the waitress to change as it was cold, she took it away, then came our beef. Which was barely warm! Lucky the gravy in the jug was pipping hot!! So my beef sat on the table waiting for our vegetables to come back! They did 10 minutes later after my beef which is now cold, and guess what my vegetables came back cold!!!!! Unbelievable!!! I really wanted to leave at this point , but I decided to pour the the only think that was hot the gravy over my dinner, ate what I could. You really need to have a rethink on how you serve your food!!!! Maybe ou should only do Sunday Lunch on the Sunday, that way it has a fighting chance of been hot!!! I have no issues with the taste and portions of the food it was very tasty but cold Sunday Lunch definitely No!!! I will be giving this place a miss for some time. Really...

Three of us recently visited for lunch and ended up having the Bottomless Brunch. As hospitality business oweners, we all like to relax and eat out once in a while, and we were really glad that we chose the Olive as this weeks venue. The food was awesome, the service outstanding and we couldn't believe the great value for money on the bottomless brunch. Loving the wine machine option and our designated driver really appreciated being able to still join in by swapping out the wine for her non-alcoholich choice of cocktail. (We were suprised at this and really appreciated it.). We were so full, we had to share a desert which was delicious and perfecrt way to end the meal. They have definately got it all right at the Olive and we highly recommend this as a lunch or dinner option. I for one, cannot wait to go back and share this experience with others, not my 1st time and definately not my last. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Thank you to the chefs, back of house and front of house staff, you made our lunch a great one....

Visited yesterday for an early doors dinner. The atmosphere and decor was super, staff were super friendly.

The food was excellent. Really great flavours and choices - we've been to a lot of tapas bars around the world - Olive has a great selection in our opinion.

Lovely views over the harbour too.

We felt the portions were normal tapas size - plenty to share if you order enough. We would have ordered a couple more dishes, but nobody came back to check - I think they're missing a trick here.

My only criticism is that there is no children's menu - I get it.... but ....my two aren't fussy, however everything is very rich/spicy/flavoursome - nothing was plain enough for them to have a proper meal, they just picked at the chips and the flatbread! A small children's menu and/or plain options would be great.

That said, we are local and will visit again 100%, we will just feed the kids first next time :-)

Thanks for a great Good...
