G.W. Horners is a really nice bar, this old cinema has been repurposed and sympathetically altered. It's great that this historic building is still in use. There's a decent range of beers and lagers, sadly no cask conditioned real ales. It's one large room with a pool table. The staff are friendly and it is a welcoming pub. The rear of the cinema has been demolished and is now a nice large beer garden with a good size covered area. When it opened in 1910, the Kinema Picture Palace had a marble paved semicircular floor. It was renamed the Regent in 1919 and closed in 1978. In 1980 it opened as a roller disco, then it was turned into a leisure centre. Hopefully, it will survive as a pub for many years to come.

Very friendly staff with good hygiene of work surfaces... Lots of brilliant choices of drinks... Friendly customers which are regulars!

Called in for a quick pint. Good service. Sadly no cask ales. There was a DJ playing some tunes which gave the place some atmosphere. Apart from that the pub is spacious albeit a bit stark. Ideally located for the train station. Just another run of...
