When this venue launched in 2018, it was a really nice place to eat out in that part of the city. 5 years later it has fallen off the face of a cliff.
We placed our order at 2:10 PM, when there were only 3 other people in the restaurant. McDonald's a stone's throw over would have served these people in a matter of seconds. Instead it took 13 minutes from placing our order on the touchscreen (which was hideously miscalibrated, by the way) to get our food, only for the person serving our food to tell us they had no cappuccinos, and had to get a cash refund.
The chicken was noticeably off-colour (a paler brown instead of a more visually-pleasing golden brown), dry, and the ailing fries were tepid instead of hot. My drink was overfilled and leaked onto our table, and I only just managed to move my phone out of harm's way in time. There were no napkins available; a member of staff had to go downstairs and retrieve them for us. The toilets are almost always shut. There is no WiFi; I've been to a McDonald's that's situated in a field in the middle of York and it had functioning WiFi.
Deliveroo/Uber Eats orders are prioritised over those eating indoors regardless of when you order.
The floors are utterly filthy, covered in food and drink waste; I've never seen anything like it in this country. The floors are SWAMPED in grease to the points our chairs slid on the oily surface and we almost injured ourselves.
The staff are UNBELIEVABLY lazy, even for fast food standards. They were hardly doing anything during those 13 minutes. One male member, who had visible white stains all over his work outfit, crouched to empty a bin which he tried to flatten with his fist at first before realising it was simply too full, and slowly carted it outside to the bins right in front of the restaurant. That's right, in front.
Fast food restaurants are supposed to have an area at the back to dispose of their waste. By having their bins immediately outside, in full view of patrons, it's not only off-putting but encourages the local wildlife to enter the restaurant, including flies, a pigeon (which freely roamed around the restaurant while I was eating my lunch), and according to Hull Daily Mail, RATS!
If you want fast food on Jameson Street, go to McDonald's. If you want KFC in Hull City Centre, go to Mount Pleasant or Beverley Road. This specific franchise needs its licence taken away, or its staff to be fired and the restaurant subject to a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve ordered some food from here as I do always from this specific one , it was in store order and I bought an Ā£5 meal which was with wrap fries a single filet and a Pepsi drink. And I had freebie from kfc for taking a survey so I can get an side or snack so they have emailed me a code which can be redeemed at the til and I did but the lady who served me didnāt give my other drink which ever one it was which I did say I wanted another drink go the freebie snack/side but sh went straight to the back I couldnāt see her after she said my order is ready and left on till when she wakes of in the back or I would have said something. It felt like she didnāt even want to serve me in the first place when I walked in she left me hanging for a longtime and sheās did that before accept this time she didnāt give me my drink which was my right and I found that really disrespectful. It was a chubby lady I would say not young and she has dodgy eyes . Iām sorry I donāt mean to be rude or offensive but itās the best way I can explain and describe this . I couldnāt take pictures I would found that to be rude but she did walk off to the side of the restaurant kitchen or I would said something as well as taking a picture of her . Im sorry but this made me frustrated. This what I gottta deal with I love this place and please I hope to receive the same respect and money we give to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI travelled nearly 30 miles specifically because this store advertises itself as Halal, and I had high expectations for quality and service. Unfortunately, my experience was unacceptable: Store hygiene: The overall environment was unclean and unwelcoming. Tables and counters were visibly dirty, and the store felt poorly maintained. Lack of staff and attentiveness: There appeared to be very few staff members, and those present were not responsive or attentive to customer requests. I had to ask multiple times for hot, fresh food. Unreasonable waiting time: I waited around 35 minutes for my order, despite it being a takeaway. Poor food quality: After finally receiving my order and taking it to my car, I discovered thatāapart from the gravyāeverything was cold and tasted stale, as if it had been prepared days earlier. The food was inedible and had to be thrown away.
I am deeply disappointed, especially as I made a long journey in good faith, expecting the quality and freshness KFC is known for. If this store cannot maintain proper service, hygiene, and food standards, then it is misleading to advertise as a Halal KFC and attract customers from...
