Grand Union — Restaurant in England

We hired the Grand Union for a private function and couldn’t recommend it enough. Kathy and the whole team were on hand and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They helped with setting up and tidying down, and even helped bring everything to&from the car. They also washed our trays etc and stored the cake for us until the next day. The door staff were amazing & helped to make sure the function stayed private using their stamp system. Our night couldn’t have gone any better & it was hugely down to the staff. The venue looked great & was clean, tables were moved to accommodate the food etc., and staff checked the toilets often to ensure they were clean and had toilet roll. The menu was affordable and the food was very tasty ! I had the steak and cheese sandwich with a side of freshly cooked chips which was delicious. The atmosphere is really cosy and chilled in the day but great for a laugh on the night as they do karaoke on a Wednesday, Staff are really friendly too so you will be well looked after! This place has just opened on the site of the much-missed former "Brood@VinQuatre" which closed earlier this year. It has been completely refurbished and renovated throughout. It looks extremely smart and is clearly aimed at the up-market and young professionals market.. There is an outside seating area on it's New Walk side (see my photo). It is a Marston's house.
