We booked with ease and turned up to the restaurant. We had a warm welcome and were impressed with the deco. There was a variety of menus which was a bit much but no issue as they had alot to offer.
We ordered what we liked, and the food presentation was to a high standard. The food taste and quality of the ingredients was on point with every dish.
What started as a 5-star ended badly unfortunately.
We noticed they only had 3 waiter staff. They were running around like headless chickens. It seemed they couldn't cope with the demand from customers and couldn't attend to all customers as I noticed people trying to get the waiter staff attention but there was no one to attend to them.
We ordered a celebration dessert for a special birthday. We ordered it and we waited patiently for almost half an hour and asked how long and numerous times we got advised 'the kitchen is busy' which is a bit obvious if you have customers! We waited again another 10mins and by this point we got fed up of waiting.
I told them we were disappointed in the long wait for one dessert and to just cancel it. They said they would call the manager. Again I waited another 10mins. They just gave me the bill. I said where is the manager and said there was no manager present? But made me wait 10mins for no reason?
To top it off the cheek of it, they said we haven't charged you for the dessert (which didn't even come)! Also they said we've given you 20% off which was a holiday offer so given to everyone there regardless. Like they were doing a favour to us only!
I advised they need more staff to serve customers as the service was very poor. Management please spend a bit more to get the right amount of staff.
The food was right but, unfortunately very poor service which left a bad taste in our mouths.

Read moreI had the pleasure of attending the opening day at Peara in Leicester today, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the modern and inviting atmosphere instantly set the tone for a great dining experience. The staff, though clearly in the midst of their opening day hustle, were friendly, professional, and made me feel incredibly welcome.
I want to give a massive thank you to the owner, Mirza, and his family for their warm hospitality. It’s clear they’ve put so much love and passion into creating Peara, and it was wonderful to see them involved every step of the way, ensuring everything ran smoothly and guests felt right at home.
I began with the Mushroom Galouti Kebab, and it was absolutely brilliant. The kebabs were tender, full of flavour, and seasoned to perfection. The mushroo were eart refreshing and zesty touch. It was clear that a lot of care had gone into every detail.
For the main course, I chose the Pan-Asian Roasted Poussin, and it was just as impressive. The chicken was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside with incredibly juicy meat on the inside. The combination of spices and subtle sweetness made each bite a delight. The sides were equally fantastic and paired wonderfully with the chicken.
To finish off the meal, I had the Dulce de Leche dessert, which was a real treat. The caramel flavour was rich and indulgent, yet smooth and not overly sweet. It was the perfect way to round off such a delicious meal.
Considering today was their opening day, I was thoroughly impressed with how smoothly everything went. The food was exceptional, and the service was friendly and attentive. Peara has certainly set a high standard for what’s to come, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. If you’re in Leicester, I highly recommend paying them a visit—you won’t be...
