Lovely, old fashioned, cheap, unpretentious British cafe tucked away in an interesting little side street near a very good car wash, pub, fish and chip takeaway, newsagents, convenience store, and antique shop. Ryde beach is a few minutes walk away. The food's good (much of it homemade) with decent portions, the service very friendly, the toilets are clean , the wifi and papers are free. This is a not to be missed cafe / resturant ! Set out as a traditional english cafe, very friendly and helpful staff but the their real star quality is the FOOD ! High quality, good portions and cooked perfectly ! The prices are very reasonable, something you have to take into concideration these days. Found three hairs in my meal! When brought to the attention of staff, I was dealt with extremely rudely and was not given a full refund or a replacement meal. I was told not to come back if I didn't like it, and that I should not expect high standards as it is a greasy shop. The staff even said the hairs looked like they came from an Asian person, and therefore said they were mine! He had dark hair too!
