Honesty Newbury — Restaurant in England

Oh dear what a shame, my wife and myself called into the Honesty at Parkway for a light lunch while out shopping, we chose our food and drink then went to sit down, however we could not find a clean table although there were four members of staff just standing around eating and, chatting away to each other. We had to ask to get one of them to clear and clean the table. Eventually our food and drink turned up and I have no complaint about that, it was good. The staff seemed not to be bothered with their customers and were continually on their phones and chatting to each other, one of them even had a male friend rolling his cigarettes on the service counter. Visited here this afternoon with my partner to have lunch. Not a member of staff to be seen. We stood at the counter waiting to be served and looking around to see if we should take a seat or wondering if we were to order at the counter? We were completely ignored. Then another member of the public walked in, picked up a drink from the chiller cabinet and pushed straight in front of us, all of a sudden a tall chap appeared out of nowhere to serve him leaving us still stood there like lemons. We turned around and left- no one asked us if they could help - nothing. Poor customer service. Can’t comment of the food or drink. Plus the place was empty- could of understand if they were rushed...

Such a lovely coffee shop, good range of food and just about every coffee you could want the staff are on another level many times you go to a coffee shop and they are clearly not enjoying there job at all and are like robots but the 4 girls today where happy little souls smiling and laughing and a* for customer service they really couldnt do enough for me they bring everything to your table for you which u don't get from the other coffee spots in town the lovely young girl made a right fuss of my doggo even gave him a little treat it's a breath of fresh air.
