Lucky Voice Brighton — Restaurant in England

Although this is a really good, fun experience and the time just flies by because you're all having such a laugh, it's tainted a bit by the fact that drink prices are SO high. I get that this is probably where they make most of their money but it just kinda stops some peoples night out, in my experience, as they can't afford to keep having drinks with everyone. The cocktails are very good though.

So as you walk in, passed the bouncers who may or may not check your bag.. you're met with a desk and always a smiling face. They quickly find your booking and take you up the dark winding steps to your room behind a dark door with a tiny window in it. I must admit the first time I went I kept thinking we'd stumbled in to some seedy brothel type place.. that being said, I get now why it's relatively dark, it increases your confidence while you murder an Adele song.

You're explained how to use the system if you've not visited before and given your microphones. You'll also be pointed to a drinks menu and a button you can press to call up the staff to take a drinks order or if there are any problems.

The rooms do come up a little small and there's usually not enough seating for all of you but with 1-2 singing and someone messing with the playlist it's usually alright.

Make sure you take advantage if their 241 hours Facebook deal as it's fantastic.

If the rooms were a little bigger and and drinks a little cheaper, I'd easily give this place another star. Toilets need sorting too, they are shared and usually...

I am writing to express our disappointment and frustration about our experience at Lucky Voice Brighton.

Our booking was for 8 people on Saturday 10th February at 8.30pm and was part of my partners 40th birthday celebrations.

On arrival and once shown to our private Karaoke room, it was clear that there was a technical issue with the screen.

Attempts were made to try and fix this initially and for about 30 minutes and then we were just left waiting.

I went downstairs to then discuss with your member of staff who was at the front desk. It took me another half hour to get him to finally agree to a full refund and his service and attitude to the problem was quite frankly beyond poor and was very rude. It was actually your doorman who was more helpful and wanted to at least try and resolve the issue for us.

In addition to this, the same member of staff tried to charge a friend of mine on his debit card drinks that we didn't even order which just compounded our utter frustration of the evening which by this point in time was ruined.

I see an email confirming that my refund in full has been processed and I hope this happens swiftly.

Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Lucky Voice in the future and though I fully understand that technical issues can happen, why are the rooms not checked beforehand and clearly training of your staff members in showing a bit of respect to paying customers would be of...

Friendly staff. The room was good. Music selection does lack a lot but I had a great time.

Update 21/04/19 The first room we went into had microphone issues, the server that bought us drinks wasn't very helpful and pretty much just said "yeah sorry, nothing I can do" as he mumbled his way out of the room. We then spoke to the manager in charge and he said he knew what the issue was and moved us and started our time again. Great service!

Cocktails were 2 for 1 on a Sunday till 8am. This includes non alcoholic ones for the likes of me!

Once we got going again we had a blast. 2 hours flew by. Its did get so hot in the room with just two of us, so wear light clothes!

One issue we had was that many of the hip hop/rap tunes are so out of time you cannot sing them unless you already know word for word.

This is due to Lucky Voice making there own mp3/cdg files. Sunfly/The Entertainer files always sync up perfect. A little work could be done to get timing issues corrected....
