Honestly the worst hotel I've stayed in, lots of corners cut in construction, fire doors have massive gaps underneath, electrical fittings are dangerous poorly done. The cutlery and crockery provided hadn't been washed and had old food on it, the shower was rusting, falling apart and tiny. My partner and i are both under 6 foot and we found it cramped. Couple that with the fact there were no actual windows, just a door on a line to prevent it from being opened and the room becomes incredibly hard to regulate and was either too hot or too cold at any given time. But ultimately the worst thing is the noise, there is no one manning the hotel. There were lots of guests coming in an out at all times and inviting far beyond the maximum limit stated by the hotel and making noise way beyond the 10pm curfew. We were regularly woken up by patrons of the Casablanca bar outside the property, as well starngers stopping by to throw up outside. It may seem like a cheap stay and it looks pretty in the photos but it's honestly not worth a penny, just book a chain and get a goodnights sleep.

This was our first ever trip to Brighton & we decided we liked the look of this hotel, both its décor and near sea front location attracted us to book. Firstly the location is great, you’ll find yourself minutes away from the beach and close to the lanes which are home to many independent shops. We arrived and found our room to be in great shape, very clean and tidy. The room contained a microwave, coffee machine, kettle, hairdryer, plenty of towels & a TV (although we couldn’t watch any live TV due to there being no signal). I was impressed to find sleep masks and ear plugs as well (I tend to use ear plugs when I sleep in hotels and these ones were amazing!) Very comfortable bed, first nights sleep was a little bit warm on account of the radiator being on but once it was turned down it was much better. Great shower, keep the door closed though as we read steam can set the fire alarms off. Worth noting that the hotel hasn’t got any onsite staff but there are phone numbers you can ring if you have any issues.

Worst expirience I ever had. The room was not clean, dust all over the place. I doubt there has been som fire control in the hotel which in my home is illegal. The stairs are narrow and very dangerous. Rated 4 stars and that is no way. I don’t reccomend this hotel for anyone. I have travelled all over the world and never been in so bad “hotel” The price is way to high for this kind of quality. We had to change hotel after one night, could’t use this room, the hotel refuse to refund the four paid night we didn’t use.

We had a mixed experience here.

Positives :

It was easy to gain access, the room and bedding were very clean and arranged to a good standard. Nespresso machine was great, shower was fantastic, really good pressure and instant hot water. Plenty of towels and some cute toiletries provided :)

Negatives:

Very noisy staying in Room 2 which is right next to the front door, inconsiderate/drunk people were in and out constantly and letting the front door slam all night, waking us both up with a jump. Ear plugs were provided but you really need a quiet self-closer on that door to stop it slamming so violently.

As my partner slid the secondary double glazing panel down on the front window to close it, it fell off and hit him in the face, cutting his lip. We popped it back in, but that needs looking at - not cool at all.

Hairdryer element gone - blows cold air

Damp in living space = peeling wallpaper and flaking render

Damp in bathroom = mould on ceiling and wall.

Batteries dead in tv remote and no controls on the actual telly to work it

The "King bed" is two singles pushed together, not a major issue as the single beds were very comfortable to be fair, but it's a bit cheeky to advertise it as a king bed all the same.

Overall £250 for this was way over the top, and since my man took a whack in the face from the window pane and we barely slept all night we're both pretty miffed at what this cost us.

Some good attention was paid in some areas, undeniably, but we won't be going back.

EDIT

As they say below, they did offer compensation for all the negatives that we experienced - they offered a meagre £25 off a £250 room as a "gesture of goodwill" for a sleepless night and my partner suffering an injury to his face from the faulty window - absolutely ridiculous. The compensation offered was NOT "agreed" at all, it was stated and not open for discussion. The picture of the message he received shows how cocky they are, by telling him that if we'd said during the night, they'd have had an opportunity to fix the isssues - we stayed for one night - so they were going to come over after 10pm, replace the hairdryer, fix the window, deal with the damp and fix the front door???? Don't make me laugh. They didn't even ask my partner if the discount offered resolved things, and not so much as an apology for the injury to his face. Shocking customer service, avoid...

Good location to most visited places in Brighton. Beds are comfy. The room could benefit from more storage areas for personal items such as makeup, hair brushes, bags and suitcases etc. When booking check what size room you have we were on the top floor and the room was smaller than others we had seen making it hard for two people to get ready in the room at the same time. The room could benefit from some handy work, the plug in the sink was broken, the shower and towel rail are pulling away from the wall, the TV remote is missing the back and one of the switches on the dimmer lights is missing. Great option if you're only planning on being in the hotel to sleep and plan to be out all day. Personally the draws containing cutlery/crockery and fridge weren't needed in the room and take up room that could act as suitcase storage. Some items in the room felt sticky, one of the bed light switches and the hairdryer which just left the room feeling unclean along with the long hair and residue left on the sink when we first entered the room and a stray rice grain in the bed. We booked based on TikTok and youtube recommendations but unfortunately the room we had was not what we had seen advertised through media which unfortunately dampened the experience, although this is no fault of the hotels. Worth checking rooms and noting that not all rooms are the same size of have similar decor...

High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous occupant, and this was quite a large wrapper that would have been difficult to miss during cleaning. Communication around bed preference was not good at all, I had specifically asked for a king (and have the evidence of this in my booking details) yet on arrival twin beds were set up. When I raised this with the company, there was no offer of rectifying this, instead I was told more than once that this had been the request. To add insult to injury, our neighbours in the room next door invited some friends to their room and it seemed they were having their own party at 3am with shouting, giggling and loud music and more than 5 in the one room. We knocked on the door in the end to request some quiet as, with the club outside, we were completely surrounded by noise. One small plus point that, once we managed to get to sleep, the bed (albeit the twin I hadn’t requested) was very...
