Pretty grim to be honest. I don't usually leave reviews but I really feel this warranted one. Ordered a Sweet Chilli Chicken wrap meal with a Coke Zero and an Orea Mini Mcflurry at around 11pm earlier today. This was in store through the self service machines.
As usual no receipt so you only have a split second to see your order number. There werent many people in the restaurant, maybe max 6 people waiting at the time I came so they must have finished rush a couple minutes earlier. That being said and Mcdonalds being a "fast food restaurant" orders should be typically out within say 10 minutes max. It took me over 20 minutes to get my food. 2 out of 4 staff at the front were stood around doing nothing, not packing orders or anything. And yet the food was piling up.
Eventually I got my food however the service was dreadful. As someone who works in a restaurant herself, customers are your upmost priority. Yet, there was no thank you, no smile, no eye contact. Just a "here" and that's it. Very welcoming indeed 😒. Once I did get my food, the chips were obviously cold however the worst thing was the chicken inside the wrap was raw. It wasn't cooked properly. This is a big health risk. My order mcflurry was completely melted as it was made before my order was packed and was just sitting on the side. Same with the Coke Zero. It was flat and absolutely grim. My whole meal save the Fries and "ice cream" (cannot call it ice cream. More like a warm milkshake at this point) went in the bin.
Absolutely shocking customer service, messy restaurant and cold, uncooked food. Go to Monks Cross, much...
Read moreThe worst part of this mcdonald’s isn’t even the cold, unseasoned chips that even a parasitically drunk homer simpson wouldn’t dare to take a bite of. It is rather the rude, entitled and miserable staff that act like they’re on the wage of a third world child sewing H&M cardigans. Dont get me wrong there are a couple lovely ones but the majority are horrific, slow, rude wack-jobs that seem to find perpetual pleasure in laying their eyes on their customers biting into a clap-cold french fry that has been sitting in the bottom of a sad little heater for 3 hours. Not to mention the little danny devito dupe bumping into you with a mop bigger than him screaming bloody murder every time you set foot on an already mopped tile waiting for your food rather than 40 feet out the door where he hasn’t cleaned yet (god forbid!). Not to mention the delivery service is even worse than it is in person. You could be the only person in that mcdonald’s and still be waiting 15 minutes waiting for you food while the delinquent staff are stood their like lemons acting like they just learned how to communicate with others. I understand that this is no-one’s dream job but so many things about this place could be so easily improved: sack the miseryguts and plain janes. make the fries with less loads and more often - take leeds an example, their fries are steaming hot 100% of the time. Take some lessons from monks cross maccies 10 minutes down the road, their food tastes like actual heaven compared to the literal chum those dastardly creatures serve you in the city centre....
Read moreFilthy dirty Mc Donald's. Probably the dirtiest fast food joint I have ever stepped into. Not sure what the underlying issue is here, but I was appalled. Seating areas upstairs were particularly bad. Upturned cartons of curry sauce smeared across a table, pieces of curled up decaying lettuce left discarded on the table top also. Smushed in chips on the floor. I carry sanitising wipes & did my best to clean the table I sat at. However despite my best efforts there were stains that were so engrained, my paltry wipe couldn't budge them. The machine I ordered my food from upstairs had no till receipt paper in it, (despite two rolls of fresh till paper being left on top of it). So I didn't get an order number, had to go downstairs & speak w an employee to be told that I needed to speak to a different person to find out my order number. Just smacks of laziness! Food was fine, standard Mc Donald's fare, but the filth & general decrepitude of the place was a bit of a shocker.
Even under the appliances in the kitchen you could see the floor hadn't been cleaned in a while, food debris scattered under the work surfaces.
Wasn't sure if I should mention the toilets, but they were hazardous. Two of the four ladies toilets were blocked. The sanitary bins hadn't been checked in ages, & sanitary waste wrappers were scattered at the top of the bins & some fell outside the bins. Wonky tap at the third basin too, felt like it was going to come loose. Staff were obliging & I think under a lot of pressure, so awarding one...
