Stayed in Blackpool recently, and visited this Nandos with my family twice..1st time , ordered/paid at the table using provided qr code, we had to ask about/wait 40 minutes for our food, it was busy so we let it slide, even though it was not ideal. 2nd visit, again it was busy and again we ordered and paid via the qr code on the table..This time we had waited about 15 minutes to even be brought our drinks/glasses, in order to 'head off' a similar experience than the first I went to the desk and spoke to (I assume) the manager/supervisor. I think his name was Darren, I was initially told that they didn't have our order, even though I had confirmation e-mail and they had taken the money, then I was told they thought I'd ordered it to the wrong Nandos in Blackpool, even though I'd used their provided qr code, turns out that wasn't the case but my order had been put through as a future takeaway, I suspect this is what happened also on our first visit, the whole time the guy I was talking too wasn't really apologetic and initially was trying to suggest I'd done something wrong. When I showed him my confirmation had our table number and clearly wasn't a takeaway, he was still very far from sincerely apologetic. He had to manually put our order through and eventually after all this we were served, again roughly 40 minutes from ordering. Food on both visits was okay, not the best Nando's I've had. Staff were again nice enough but clearly understaffed for how busy it was. My main gripe is the lack of option for table service, the fact their qr system clearly doesn't work and the lack of real care or apology from a senior member of staff. No offer of a discount, no partial refund or anything else, just a free "bottomless drink" that we hadn't asked for and we only got as they'd run out of smaller water glasses. Standard "big chain" post Covid unfortunately, using qr codes/apps for ordering, means less staff, overwork the ones you have to maximise profits and stuff the customer service. Very very poor. , Only reason for two stars is that the food, once we got it,...
Read moreWe'd never been to Nandos before and if last nights experience is anything to go by we won't again. We got there at 9.30, checked with the staff that it was still open and serving food as the staff were all sat in a booth. We were told only if we were very quick. We did query that Google said 11pm but were told no it is 10pm close. The food arrived, the coleslaw was great and the chips were hot but the chicken and corn were lukewarm and the corn was all dried up. We ordered a sharing platter but the corn was in one piece and despite our best efforts we couldn't split it and quite frankly my friend was relieved we couldn't when she saw my face trying to eat it lol. The staff were clearly disappointed that someone would actually want serving part 9pm. I did use the toilet before leaving but was quite horrified that having climbed more stairs than weatherspoons the toilets were filthy, there was a member of staff in there when I opened the door so there's no excuse of they weren't aware of how dirty they were. All in all I am struggling to find a positive from this experience other than...
Read moreWent all the way from London for a weekend break. But this nando's clearly hate the fact that the world's gone back to normal and everyone is wanting to enjoy a meal out. First night we went 45min before closing and they turned us away saying they ran out of food. Second night we went the restaurant was pretty much empty with atleast 7 to 8 tables empty!! But the cheek of the lady said there's an hour wait hoping we walk away, but we insisted we will wait, then another couple came and she told them there's a wait so they left But anyway because we weren't leaving the area although she insisted we come back a hour later. Anyway 10min later she said I can squeeze you guys in baring in mind there were so many tables empty already. Whilst being at the restaurant for 1.5 hour they turned away all the customers but I didn't see any customers that she claimed that put themselves in a virtual queue and all 7 tables remained empty. They waited until closing and had a easy closing basically, they all sat there on their phones while the restaurant was...
