One of the worst dineing experiences we've had. Avoid at all costs.
We book a table for 8.30pm and arrived a little early. We were asked to wait for our table as we were early. Completely fine. 45 minutes later we are sat down, Completely not fine. We had a view of the kitchen were we could see several plates of food under the hotplate. The head chef was shouting for assistance and the three waiters were gathered talking at the bar. The headchef then left the kitchen, came out to the main restaurant and started picking up plates to deleiever herself. The manager then ran over asking her what she was doing and she told him the plates had been there for 30mins!!. He then took the plates and started handing them out. We then ordered our dishes, i could see two plates of pasta on the hotplate and kept my eye on them for 20 minutes!! The waiter then went over and brought them to our table. We of course refused the meals as it had clearly been sitting in wait for a number of minutes. He huffed and brought them back to us a couple of minutes later. They had clearly put them in the microwave as the pasta was congealed. Just when we thought the restaurant couldn't be any worse the manager was standing near our table when he was approuched by a pale ill looking gentleman. He had ordered food and then went to the toilet. On his discovery he walked into the gents and there was human feces smothered on the walls and the floor. He looked extremely ill and he and his family got up to leave. The manager was extremely agressive and told him as he had ordered food he was to pay befor he left. The man rightly stood his ground and left. We were then rushed out at it was closing time dispite us waiting the best part of an hour to sit down. The whole evening was a disaster. Even after they knew there was human feces on the bathroom floor they still watched as others went upstairs to use the facilities. They too came down looking ill. The place is an absolute disgusting disgrace. It was the most unpleasant restaurant ive ever been to. I have never been to a restaurant and not left a tip.. but as the saying goes. Theres a first time for...
Read moreWe were greeted as we arrived and taken to our table. We were a hen party of 7 and were sat near to the bar. Our server whose name I cannot remember so I shall have to describe him (red hair & a beard and hadn’t been working back there long) was quick to greet us and take our drinks order, even helping us choose what we wanted by suggesting ideas. He was really friendly and helpful and quick to bring the drinks over. He even checked to see if they were ok. As we had pre-booked with a party company and had chosen from a menu that company had provided us with quite a while ago, our server apologised and told us that they no longer do the roast chicken and hadn’t for sometime but could recommend other different types of chicken instead. After re-choosing some main courses our meals were quick to come out to us from the kitchen alongside us. The food was absolutely delicious from the starters, mains and right down to the desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed it all and again our server kept coming over checking if the food was ok and if we needed any further drinks. Once we had finished and wanted to leave, our server quickly got us a bill for the extra drinks that we had (we had one drink each included in the party deal). We made payment and made sure to tip well as the meal and service is one of the best any of us had for a long time. Not only was our server attentive to our needs, he also went above and beyond, plugging in a phone and an e-cig to recharge them for a couple of party members while we ate....
Read moreVisited while staying in Blackpool for 2 nights and pre-booked our table a few days in advance for 7pm. Arrived on time to be told our table had been taken as a party of 6 had turned up earlier so would be available 'soon'. Stood waiting for about 10 minutes then table became available. Waited on by Daniel, a very friendly & helpful staff member who took our order. The Mushroom Al Forno starters were lovely and arrived hot. Our mains, Lasagne & Pollo Cacciatore were equally as hot and very flavoursome. Apart from the initial problem upon entrance the visit was very much enjoyed and we would visit again. I would recommend to park in the Houndshill carpark if driving here as it is situated right next to Bella so perfect placement. Great food and essentially hot! *Update Dec '23. Visited again while on a Xmas break. Had the mushroom Al Forno starter again but this time it was a disappointingly smaller portion than in July when we last visited. Ordered the lasagne as Bella's IS the best but when it arrived it looked horrendous. The dish had burn marks all over it and the lasagne itself was as flat as a pancake! Not acceptable and certainly not the usual quality I receive. I called the waitress over, Karolina could not apologise enough and without excuses took my burnt dish away and 10 minutes later returned, again apologised and served me with a fresh, hot, bubbling and delicious lasange. That was much appreciated. Great service. Thank you...
