This place gives me the creeps.
Only one normal woman there, she was nice. I didn’t have the best start here, for some reason the head woman who was chosen to take our order u spat whilst she spoke on two separate sentences I even saw the droplet on my hand and arm and wiped it on infront of of her with shock but she never noticed, I’m a pleasant man so I let that awful moment go by, it wasn’t intended. She then goes on to bring the meat out before our other items like rice and even the starters, it makes sense as the meat isn’t cooked so they brought it faster, but then we placed a couple of items on the barbecue because we didn’t want to put it all on on and cook it before the rice gets here because the meat is thin and cooks extremely fast. Whilst we sit drinking, we have only a few peices of meat for us to help our appetite, and the head woman comes over and says “put all of the meat on!”, we didn’t listen and then we waited and and cooked at our pace and quantity, then towards the end had we had some meat leftover my friend and I was just talking and she grabbed the cooking utensil from me and says put it all on in a fierce manner and without our permission she took the last few bits of raw meat and cooked it on the barbecue when we didn’t want it. Me and my friend just looked at each other and thought this is unelectable. My friend thinks it’s because they’re so tight they didn’t want the grill on too long, I think he might be right.
I prefer charcoal grill not cooked on a pan like home but I have good place a try, super from one woman the waiters and head woman didn’t make us feel welcome...
Read moreHands down the worst korean restaurant I've ever been to. Honestly don't understand the hype and high reviews. Slow service, got delivered the beef bulgogi about 20 minutes before even getting the rice to eat it with (bear in mind it's on a sizzling plate and the dish turned cold before we even got the rice to have with it). To top that the beef bulgogi (a prominent dish in korea) didn't even taste right. Overly salty, not sweet enough, beef was tough and not tender. Had the cheese pork cutlet with curry and rice, curry was warm and seemed like it had simply been microwaved. Pork cutlet also seemed old - meat was tough, breadcrumbing was bland and slightly overcooked too. Miso soup arrived lukewarm. Highlight of this dish was the side salad... Only mild highlight was the spicy beef stew, however that's kind of a given considering the restaurant is seemingly run by Chinese people, and that soup is of the same standard as szechuan dishes I've had before. To finish it off then retrieving they spilled soup on my trousers clearly knew what they did as they looked down at my trousers but didn't apologise. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Pricey and not even authentic, I mean they can't even make bulgogi right... I fear for what their hot pot and...
Read moreI am really shocked by the number of five stars review this restaurant received. My family is a big fan of Korean cuisine and we loved trying out different places. Up until today this rank the lowest on our list.
We've ordered a few of the typical Korean dishes, bulgogi, kimchi pancake, etc... and was extremely disappointed by their food presentation, taste and value.
The flavour and texture was really off, expecting spicy but received vast quantity of ketchup, noodle was soggy and the bulgogi just appear to be Chinese stir fry.
I am really sceptical over the authenticity of this restaurant. The chef are Chinese, the front of house are also Chinese.
I can't comment on the grill menu as I haven't try that myself. For everything else, unless you are hungry and no other shops are open I personally would not recommend this place.
Responding to owner: I understand it must be frustrating to receive negative comment for your restaurant. Discrediting my review while indulging in success bribing with free starters[see reviews below]. I really hope on my next visit things...
