Wow this was the worst meal I have ever bought. They didn't honour the Meerkat deal. Took 50 minutes to serve food. The rice tasted like a packet mix. The meat was all bones and the chicken burger like a piece of cardboard. No wonder the place was empty! No apology when I complained no attempt to rectify anything...but let's face it they had no chance of recovering from it unless it entailed a full refund. Never be going again even on 241 !

My response to the owners reply is this....You have missed the point completely. Meerkat 241 was NOT the issue! Had it been we would not have stopped for food at your establishment. No idea what you are referring to regarding drinks...unless you mean because asked if you had a happy hour on cocktails!...which was hardly a ridiculous question, and was just an enquiry not a problem. We bought 3 rounds of drinks and spent £26 on food. So clearly money/deals were not a concern at all. What was an issue was the actual inedible food. All 3 meals were returned. No attempt was made to rectify the situation, in fact all the staff vanished in the back. I felt sorry for the girl attending us as clearly she was not in a position to help but had to be the front of house and listen to the complaint with no back up from the owner who clearly dosent care about building customers or taking responsibility for the quality of service. I have NEVER left a bad review in my life. Congratulations you are my first, and most justified on all fronts!

If you like packet rice, dried inedible chicken, and bones with cold tomatoes, soggy fries with a plastic slice of cheese melted on top highly recommended it....otherwise I suggest walking a bit further into town and getting some decent food at one of the other eateries Leicester can...

Decided to pop in for a quick drink after our train got cancelled. We ordered 3 drinks which came to over £16 on a Weds afternoon, there was no one else in the pub at this point. The strongbow had a funny smell and taste so we asked if we could swop it for something else. The manager immediately got his back up and asked what was wrong with it m, to which we replied that it just didn’t taste right. Potentially not had one poured from it yet so it had been sat in the line since it was last used. We kindly asked just to have a pint of lager instead to which he kept questioning about the strongbow and needing to no what it was that was wrong incase he needed to take it off sale, he tried some and decided there was nothing wrong with it and there was no reasoning with him. Good customer service would have been to accept this after asking what the issue is and providing us with a replacement drink but by the managers attitude this was clearly not an option. We just said we would leave it to stop the argument going any further and so paid over £16 for a pint and a shandy! Absolutely disgusting customer service which has now resulted in a negative review. Maybe next time you will think about how you speak to your customers if you want...

One star service! We came and ordered some drinks for us and kids. we were told that we need to put them in plastics cups due to football. That’s fine we didn’t have a problem with that. When we pour one of the kids’ drink into a plastic cup we realised that it was broken and half of the drink fell out . Quickly notified staff and they gave us another cup to put on. When I mentioned that a child is now upset because the drink spilled and she hasn’t even drank it we were told ‘ they not going to accept it ;( I never was in a place when something happened ( not our fault ) to a child and they won’t give him/ her a replacement’s . At the end someone from the table next to us brought a drink and said to my daughter don’t mind them. And please understand me well: I am not after a free drink , neither I can’t afford to buy another drink but the plastic cup ( which we were told to put drink into because it’s a match day) was broken and it wasn’t our fault.
