I honestly cannot fault this place one bit. It was 7:40pm on a Friday night and we had no reservations. However, they were able to seat us almost straight away. This place is HUGE! It can easily seat 250 people with room to spare. The atmosphere was fantastic with gorgeous lighting, nice seating as well as an open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. All of the staff were so polite and very attentive. They had brought out warm flat bread with dipping sauces (on the house!). I was sold with the first bite. It was so warm and it just melted in my mouth. There was a thick yogurt based dip that was to die for. I could have sat there all night just eating this and be happy. The menu was impressive and had steaks, burgers, salads and fish for those less adventurous eaters as well as a kids menu. My husband had a stone baked pide (Turkish pizza) with lamb, chili's and cheese, which he loved and I got the warm meze sharing platter. OMGGGG my biggest regret is not pushing through and finishing every last morsel and ordering it again! The halloumi was grilled to perfection, the sucuk (Turkish sausage) was delicious, the falafel and calamari were moreish, but by far the most mouth-watering, scrumptious, piece of food that has ever graced my pallet was the Sigara Boregi (crispy Turkish cheese rolls). The nano second it touched my taste buds all of my senses honed in on this delicacy. To the light, crispy filo pastry with its delicate crunch, the warmth of the salty, sharp and creamy Feta cheese, to the subtle yet intoxicating aromatics of the herbs my whole body screamed for more. I can honestly say that I could happily live only eating that for the rest of my life. I never want to go to another restaurant again. Despite being properly stuffed we decided to get some baklava. Now, I'm a chocoholic and although I do like other desserts, if chocolate is on offer, chocolate wins. But that baklava needs to be on every dessert menu in this country. If I haven't yet convinced you to leave whatever it is you're doing to go eat here like, yesterday, then nothing will! The staff also offered us complimentary Turkish tea which was glorious. The bill was so reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food and the exceptional service. I, hand on heart, don't want to eat out at another restaurant in Leicester other than here. I honestly look forward to working my way through the menu!

My experience at Etci Baba Turkish Charcoal Grill & Steak House was truly delightful, and I am eager to share it. The restaurant radiates a warm and inviting ambiance, complemented by tasteful decor and optimal lighting, creating a serene dining environment. The cleanliness of the restaurant, including the visible kitchen, instilled a sense of comfort and assurance in the quality of the food being served. We indulged in a variety of dishes, starting with refreshing apple and pineapple juices, which were a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. Following this, we ordered a platter for two, featuring a delectable assortment of lamb, beef, and chicken, all accompanied by perfectly cooked rice. Each meat was seasoned and grilled to perfection, offering a symphony of flavors with every bite. To conclude our meal, we savored Turkish baklava paired with ice cream and Turkish tea. The baklava was a sweet masterpiece, with layers of flaky pastry, filled with nuts and honey, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. The service at Etci Baba is commendable, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring a seamless dining experience. Despite being quite affordable, the restaurant does not compromise on quality, offering generous portions of scrumptious dishes. In conclusion, Etci Baba Turkish Charcoal Grill & Steak House is a culinary gem in Leicester, combining exquisite food, impeccable service, and a pleasant atmosphere to deliver a 5-star dining experience. It is a must-visit for anyone seeking to explore the rich and diverse flavors of Turkish cuisine. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit.

Interior of the restaurant is really nice, modern and clean. Defo got that Instagram aesthetic. Suitable for couples, friends and families with a huge range of seating. The staff greeted us as soon as we stepped through the door and seated us almost instantly. The menu has a good varied selection, and the waiter Ashik was extremely helpful in explaining the dishes and making good recommendations. He was really polite and attentive, 10/10 service. The wait for the food wasn't long and the layout of the restaurant allows you to have an open view of the kitchen. No complaints with the portion sizes - the bread and dips were given complementary to us. We ordered the ultimate grill and the chicken kofte dishes. Both of which were extremely filling and the staff provided us with boxes to take the leftovers away with us. Also tried the mashed potatoes side which was flavoursome, creamy and seemed freshly made too. No complaints overall, in addition to two drinks the whole meal cost just under £40 for two people but the quality and portion sizes do justify it. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to eat in Leicester!

We visited this restaurant today and wow, if I could give 10 stars, I would! the service from start to finish was amazing. Our waiter Sam Was so attentive, he made sure our table was ready for us as soon as we turned up, Water for the table without us having to ask for it, He was really friendly and chatty with our daughter, Rather than like some places we’ve been who tend to ignore Children he made sure to listen to what she was asking him Which was really sweet, He checked that our food was okay and another staff member made sure to let us know that our drinks were on their way. We felt really well taken care of. Not only was the food absolutely delicious it was all served in a really timely manner piping hot, I couldn’t fault it, a fabulous experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend this restaurant not only for the food but the service and to top it all off it was my husband’s birthday and they brought out baklava with sparklers and Dry ice which was just brilliant and he loved it. Thank you!!

Good Turkish food. Slightly on a higher scale where price is concerned for certain tasteful pieces of meat. The front house staff on Saturday was just brilliant. Very welcoming and pleasant. The waiting staff were polite and friendly too. Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️(starter and drinks came fairly soon) but the mains took 50 mins to arrive. KIDS MEAL too came after 50 mins. KIDS meals should come with starters by default. Staff: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quantity: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (platters and some dishes can improve on Quantity) Everything was okay. GRILLED Fish Quantity was Excellent. BEAUTIFUL size and fresh. My only complaint would be that it was too bland, no seasonings. Potatoes were seasoned better than the fish. When you eat such a large portion of white fish, you do need a sauce or leave salt & pepper on the table at least.

The restaurant was very clean and looked great. The kitchen is based in the centre of the restaurant so you can see you food being cooked in front of your eyes. The kitchen looked clean as well. The general ambiance of the restaurant was great. The complimentary bread tasted fantastic too. The steaks in this case fillet mignon was delicious and well worth it considering how well it was cooked and the quality of the meat. The only downside to this place I would say was it felt like we were being ignored by some of the staff but this may have been as we visited towards the end of the night close to closing time. Unfortunately due to the time we visited they had run out of mocktails and Turkish tea. All in all I would go back to visit.
