Sapori — Restaurant in England

Upon arriving in the restaurant we were sat in the reception area and got given two menus and a wine list. We got told the rest of the drinks were in the wall across the room on a laminated a4 sheet with font size 12 at best.

The staff would not serve a clearly aged 18 woman a glass of wine without showing ID. However, my girlfriend was left embarrassed as she gave them her ID and was questioned repeatedly if it was her by also asking her to verify her date of birth. I was also called a "Toy Boy" which was very rude of the staff as I was the same age as my girlfriend. It made it very awkward

We ordered our food in the reception area; which was strange, before we were shown to our table. Even though the table was set up and free the moment we arrived. The staff were very unorganised. Two of the staff especially were behaving very odd. One of the women was repeatedly slapping the man's bottom. This was very unprofessional and quite frankly put me off my food.

When our food arrived which was pretty fast and most probably the best part of our experience. The pizza was very chewy and could tell it was undercooked. My girlfriend was horrified to find that her lasagne partly tasted of a plastic carrier bag. We did not get offered another drink throughout our meal. In fact we had to call over the waiter who was having a lovely chat to a colleague.

The people sat behind us were also complaining about the service they had received.

Overall, we did not enjoy our evening out and even went next door to a takeaway for our desert. We will not be eating in this...

On a recent visit to the Winter Gardens for a soul music festival and with over 4,000 people attending this event I decided that it would be best to book a table well in advance. After carrying out some research I decided that Sapori would be a good choice as group we all love Italian food the establishment looked good with equally good reviews.

On Tuesday 15th August 2023 at 5.17 pm I rang the Sapori to book a table for 6.30pm for Saturday 23rd September. The person who answered spoke with a broken Italian accent although he accepted our booking he didnt sound too confident especially in the manner in which he took my call. As he didnt inspire me with confidence I asked for an email to confirm our booking to which he said he wouldn't do this and that all was ok with our booking.

We turned up on the 23rd September 10 mins late (to which I apologised) due to getting lost (none of us are from Blackpool) only to be told that we didnt have a table booked. I can only assume the person who spoke to us on arrival (he sounded like the guy who I phone previously) was the owner very curt in his attitude to us and didnt clearly didnt want to accommodate us, as a result sending 7 of us out back into the streets looking for somewhere to eat during a very busy wet Saturday evening.

This was a pity as we all were looking forward to eating in Sapori lets hope other customers don't get the cold shoulder treatment as we did, future people...

Sapori continues to be an absolute culinary gem! As long-time patrons, my two children and I recently enjoyed yet another delightful meal there. We arrived hungry and wasted no time ordering starters, main courses, and a shareable, utterly delicious garlic bread with cheese. Unforgettable Starters My starter of mushrooms was nothing short of fantastic. The sauce was incredibly flavorful – so good, in fact, that the generous portion of garlic bread was essential for soaking up every last drop. My daughter's calamari was cooked to perfection; every piece was devoured. My son, always one to explore the menu, opted for the mozzarella wrapped in Parma ham. He declared it delicious and vowed to order it again. Masterful Mains For our main courses, my son and I both chose pizzas – a Tropicana and a Pescatore. The Pescatore is my usual go-to, and last night's offering was hands down the best I've ever had at Sapori. I even managed to compliment the chef near the door on his masterful creation! My daughter's go-to carbonara was also extremely tasty. A Culinary Revelation Honestly, last night's meal was the best Sapori experience to date. They truly excel at what they do, and I urge them to keep up the incredible work. I'll be returning very soon and strongly recommend this place to any lover of authentic...
