This visit had potential to be a 5 star review and was going very well up until our main meals. We were greeted and shown to our table in a very nice, well lit, clean restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We ordered starters which arrived in good time which were very tasty and presented well. We ordered 3 main meals which also arrived in good time. The mixed grill and sausage egg and chips were fantastic! Absolutely loved the food and the experience up until this point. The disappointment began with the lasagne sauce not being the nicest. I accept I'm not always going to like every single thing from a menu but we never saw a staff member ask us if everything was okay or if we needed more drinks. 45 minutes later our plates were taken from a different member of staff who came over and started taking our plates away without saying a word. I even asked her if she was okay to I got a response in a quiet 'yep'. We were left there with no drinks and wanting dessert. We had been forgotten. After about 15 minutes the same staff member sat down two new tables next to us but never checked on us to see if we wanted any more drinks or dessert or if the food was okay. Another 15 minutes passed after that and we decided to get up and head to a till so we could just pay to leave. The member of staff who heard of our experience at the till was very apologetic and professional. He offered us a token of goodwill because even he said that this level of service should have never happened. It was a shame because the experience went from a solid 5 star to 3 because of a poor quality of service from the moment after we had received our mains. It was not a very busy time period either. Overall, 4 of the 5 dishes we ordered were absolutely amazing! Unfortunately we skipped dessert because we waited nearly an hour since we had our plates taken before deciding we will get dessert elsewhere.

THE BEST ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST IN BLACKPOOL and all for just £9.99 set in brand new quality surroundings, on the site of the former "Yates Wine Lodge" and all with a sea view and courteous attentive staff. EXCELLENT CONTINENTAL SELECTION, with a choice of hot and cold cereals, donuts, quasaunts, crumpets, pancakes, pastries and cakes, with real butter or margarine, along with a choice of jams, marmalade and syrup. HOW ABOUT A FULL ENGLISH, with bacon, quality sausages, fried and scrambled eggs, lovely chewy soft black pudding, hash browns, cooked tomatoes, beans and mushrooms. TO DRINK, Fresh milk, orange and grapefruit juice, quality ground coffee machine and a big choice of teas. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and being a big guy, i like to make a full meal of it when it's as good as this and available, if I have missed something you like, i'm sure that if you ask they will find it and provide it for you. Mon Capitan..

We celebrated our son's 18th here with a family meal as we know from a previous visit they do a variety of good Vegan options. What a lovely experience we had yet again the staff members were fantastic being very helpful and accommodating to our large group all the food arrived as one and everyone enjoyed what they got with the only negative being no vegan cold slaw, this was missing last time we visited and it's something me and my wife were looking forward to this time. At the end of our meal the chef sent out a piece of cake with a birthday massage that was the cherry on the top of a great day. On top of all that the price was fantastic we got a blue light discount of 25% off food making the whole meal great value for money.

Staff are very friendly and family-focused, altho there is no play area for the children they do have an activity sheet for them.

From start to finish everything ran smoothly from being greeted at the front door, I was asked if I had dined with them before as I hadn't they were more than happy to inform me how it all works, FULL TABLE SERVICE!.

So moving on when ordering a drink I was informed what they did and did not have in stock so no disappointed me and got when I wanted, altho at the time I dined here some items were missing from the menu, understandable with the bank holidays and black pool being very busy.

Hot plates = long the food stays hot so that was a welcome sight (well feeling) before my drink was empty I was asked if I wanted another and being a man of a family pack and not a six-pack I jumped at the offer and enjoyed my second drink.

After I finished my main was offered a pudding and altho the menu looked appetizing I couldn't eat another thing.

Friendly & hard working staff and defo see the strain on the team when it's busy but they crack on with it and manage the best they can with the volume of people that were there at the time I dined.

So the moment you have all been waiting for would I eat there again that going to have to be without a...

Was in a hotel nearby and wanted dinner, seen there was literally times available every 15 mins and thought no point in booking, just go. So got there 15 minutes after looking for times and the manager went hold on and IL check, he stood and looked at the screen for a good few minutes then 'squeezed' us in - there were atleast 6 tables that were empty the 45 mins we wer there.

Anyways, ordered fish and chips. Chips were amazing but the fish was cooked in the skin (why?!) Didn't say this on the menu and when asked to change our order the server was lovely, apologized and said it should say that the fish had skin on it and would report it to the manager, the 1 that seated us, he didn't come over to the table, he said to her that's just the menu.

So got mac n cheese, like £10 for a tiny portion of bland macaroni and burnt cheese on top to make it look 'fancy', with some salad and some very undercooked garlic bread. Something can genuinely be made for a couple pound.

The only good thing was the server, who was incredibly polite and understanding, unfortunately I didn't get her name. And the couple chips I had but I home...
