Came across this place on Google, thought we’d give it a try since it was the top rated local Chinese takeaway/ restaurant.

Walked in to collect our takeaway, only to spend about a minute looking for someone because of how dark it was in there. Suddenly someone appears from shadows and greets me which I thought wasn’t very welcoming. Anyways, payed for our food and the total came to £34. Come back to the apartment with the food excited as ever only to be led with pure disappointment.

One way to explain the food, bland and tasteless. Food was horrible, everything lacked in salt and flavour. Salt & chilli chicken, was tasteless and dry. Spring rolls were again tasteless and bland. Soft noodles were again tasteless and bland. Curry sauce was terrible and watered down. The egg fried rice was the worst thing I’ve ordered! Bland and tasteless, to put it in short terms it was disgusting! The only decent dish was the sweet and sour chicken. But saying “decent” is me being kind.

Food wasn’t great! Will we be back, certainly not! Service was alright, neither...

Food was great service very hit and miss. Premises were set down a side street and when you entered it had been themed to look like a Chinese street quite cool. Food was very tasty but we have a local Chinese restaurant by us here in Liverpool which makes the experience more customer friendly and cheaper. When the initial prawn crackers came out we got one little bowl for 5 which was my error as I didn't realise so I ordered more at which point a waitress who was sorting another table shot over to tell me the price of an extra portion - jeez thanks for that I was expecting to get meal for free! Just made it feel unnecessary uncomfortable. Then they forgot to bring them. For 5 with banquet for 2 and a few soups extra and 2 rounds of 2 bottles beer Nd 3 soft drinks £101 which they got that wrong so check your bill. Overall the rest of the staff were OK big shout out to the older English lady who was lovely and the...

I'm incredibly picky with Chinese due to limitations as a vegetarian but the food here is absolutely amazing! The staff are very efficient and they are incredibly kind. Normally in a Chinese restaurant you get 6 spring rolls in a very small size however here you get three spring rolls but massive size. Springrolls tastes really good, crispy and crunchy. The vegetable soup was really nice too however lacked a little in spice and flavours. The vegetable noodles was yummy but again lacked in spice. We ordered the spicy version but wasn't spicy enough. Parking can be a slight issue though. There's parking outside however normally it's full and no space to park. Overall the food was yummy just lacking in some spice that's all. I would definitely recommend though.

We decided to try Sea Palace on a whim, and were impressed with their vegan and vegetarian offerings. I am so glad that we did, as we were blown away by the place. The restaurant itself is lovely, and decorated very nicely. All of the staff we encountered were super welcoming, and very friendly. The food was exceptional, very tasty and good portions! It is a little on the pricier side, but it is more than worth it. We were very excited to be able to have a vegetarian version of Sweet and Sour balls! The Sichuan tofu was juuust the right amount of spice and taste also! All in all, we were very impressed and are looking forward to returning!

Best. Chinese.... Excellent staff with excellent recommendations. The seaseme chicken which was recommended by the phonominal Ralph is so succulent! There's even free fortune cookies to inspire you to return and let me tell you I was inspired to return! I am extraordinarily excited to delve my taste buds further into the realm of the sea palace menu in the future. Really supplied a fabulous atmosphere for me and the boys. Thank you and good night.
