I went here on a Monday and, at the time of writing, they were doing an offer on half price food. That's everything on the menu...half price. We went for an "Ultimate Platter" (one of the sharing platters) and some calamari (came with a nice sweet chilli sauce) and chicken wings (came with Frank's wing sauce...which I love). Overall, the food was pretty good. It was nothing particularly complicated to get right and I have no experience of other items on the menu, but what we had was very nice...and fantastic value for money considering the offer. Would it be good value at full menu price? Maybe not brilliant value but I wouldn't exactly feel overly ripped off either.

Anyway...Decor. The some of the chairs were pretty filthy and they could do with getting some new ones in. So I had to mark them down for that. Otherwise, the place is pretty nice.

The service couldn't really be faulted. The waitress who served us was nice and had a good sense of humour. The food came quickly, too.

Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here on a Monday if the half price offer stays on. I would definitely be interested in trying some of the other items on the menu so I can better assess what how the value holds up at...

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a bottomless brunch. I have been to many at the river side slug and lettuce and it has been amazing, but the one was awful. The person serving us was so unbelievably rude and clearly didn’t have the time of day for us. I didn’t catch his name because he didn’t introduce himself to us, long blond hair in a messy ponytail and many facial piercings. After arriving at the bar on time we were told “let me go set your table up now” to which was another 15-20 minutes into our brunch time and then after presenting our IDs questioned them for a further 15mins only to turn around and tell us we cannot come in. We tried to show other forms of ID such as bank cards to show they match but that still wasn’t good enough. And then the bouncer got involved and confirmed he had check our IDs at the door and confirmed we were all over the age of 18 we were STILL refused to serve us. All in all this was a massive waste of our time and beyond disgusting behaviour. Will not be returning and if we do we will be most definitely asking to not be...

I visited Slug and Lettuce Swinegate on Sunday with 12 other girls as part of my hen do for afternoon tea with cocktails. The food and cocktails were great but what really let the experience down was the extremely rude, unhelpful, stroppy, eye-rolling waitress who was serving us. The way she spoke to us was quite frankly disgusting and the management team should be made aware of this so that training in customer service (or just simple manners) can be provided to their staff. The whole experience was very disorganised, they had no idea how many sets of afternoon teas we should have been given, the table had not been set so we had to keep asking for basic things such as plates, knives and spoons etc. Everything we asked for seemed to be a huge inconvenience to our waitress as we were constantly met with eye rolls, huge sighs and just an all round disgusting attitude. Overall the food was lovely and there was plenty of it, but the waitress completely let the whole experience down. I would not recommend this venue to anyone and I wish we had...

Attended here for a bottomless brunch for a friends 30th birthday. Having never attended a bottomless brunch before, I was sceptical about whether the service would be lax re: drinks: couldn’t have been more wrong. The food (buttermilk chicken burger) was delicious and juicy, and our server Alicia was amazing. She was so attentive and the drinks were really free flowing. Nothing was too much to ask and she really went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to make the day perfect. Really fun banter too which added to the whole atmosphere 🙂 Highly recommend for similar functions and would have no hesitation in returning in future. (Sorry got he lack of photos - we dove right in haha)

I visited with my son in law and grandson on a Saturday. Quiet busy with loads of hen parts and party groups. Mainly females . The pub is aimed at lady's from the decor , cocktails and food menus. . Nicely done but bright and in your face with pink . Food was nice but everything was posh or spiced with chilli or some sort of dressing . All the stuff I don't eat . Even the plainish BBQ chicken thing was a salad ... Well a pile of rocket ... So not really a salad . Rocket means peppery so again no good for me. Ok for the girly get together but my grandson found it too screechy with squeeling excited women.

Fantastic cocktail making class. For a fun way to spend a couple of hours with friends on a Sunday afternoon(other times/days available) thoroughly recommend the cocktail making class. For £25 per person we were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco. We made 2 cocktails each from a wider choice and the ‘nibbles’ were plates of chips and tacos with, cheese, salsa and guacamole. Finally finished with a Jäegermeister stack. Great value. The decor was lovely and the staff were warm and friendly. They made our visit for our friend’s birthday memorable and special.
