We popped in here on a very wet day. A friendly reception and luckily we could grab a table for 5. Pasties were hot and all really tasty especially the vegan cauliflower and bhaji pasty my veggie daughter had (which we all tried because it was so yummy). We had the big chairs which were very comfy and then there are standard more sit up chairs on most of the tables. Dog friendly so had ours in under the table. Everything was clean and neat and staff very helpful. We watched as we ate, it was a super busy day but the staff were amazingly calm and focused. It was quite amazing to watch actually as they almost danced around each other doing their different tasks behind the counter. Never a cross word and cheerful. A really tightly, well run place. Oh and the toilet was super clean and lovely (although the hand dryer wasn't working, worth fixing that!). Super place and absolutely recommend.

I always make a point to come here when visiting Lyme and it just gets better and better. I ordered a sausage roll which was incredible enough, but for some inexplicable reason I also ordered a tortilla which I would usually steer well clear of as they're generally bland and dry. It looked incredible and was exploding with flavour from the peas, feta and fresh dill. The cornish bakery just never disappoints.

This would have been a 5 star review - everything was really great! However, for non dairy milk they only supplied oat milk (which you have to pay extra for) and therefore not okay for coeliacs. We also had our drinks whisked away before finishing our coffee which was a shame, but it's really a great place otherwise. Very odd to be at the Cornish bakery in Lyme Regis 😂

I visited last Wednesday, the 10th. August and was delighted to get a seat and enjoyed a latte coffee and bacon bap, delicious, I had just sat down when suddenly customers coming in to order mostly takeaway but from 2 staff serving it expanded to 4 and all were non stop the whole time, during a slight lull I ordered another latte and a cinnamon bun, delicious and the customers kept on coming and the staff were unflappable, especially Renata who kept a genuine smile on her face as she greeted customers and nothing was to much trouble, so well done to all but Renata, if all hospitality workers followed your lead then visiting other eating establishments would be a relaxing experience, WELL...

Food is always lovely and fresh, but this morning we went in for coffee and I asked for the 5 remaining cheese straws that were on display. It was 8:15am so not long opened. They looked scrummy and I though I’d better get the last ones as there’s only 5 left. The guy serving looked less than impressed that I wanted the last 5, and rolled his eyes saying “urgh, just means I’ve gotta bake more now”….. mate, you work in a bakery, it’s part of the job! He seemed reluctant to be there and customers were interrupting his morning jobs… Won’t be going in there again if...
