Delicious food. Great staff. Bengali Tilipia fish is mouth-watering. Garlic naan is out of the world. Chef did an outstanding job. Never imagined we shall get such awsome food in Lyme Regis where almost no indian goes as its a secret beach by the hill. Having an indian restaurant at such location is incredible. Best part is that the diners can bring in their own Liquor to drink. This only happens in Gurgaon (india) and Lyme Regis (150 miles from London).

An interesting place, an interesting experience. The food was great, restaurant is run like a conveyor belt what is amazing in its own right. Thanks to that all with exception of the salad was fresh and flavoursome. Service as good as it can be in a place the size of a shoe box with people coming in and leaving every minute. Staff were friendly and talkative. It was a nice dinner and we would go back in again.

Spent weekend with some friends fishing and decided to try the local Bengali restaurant although I had some doubts. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and authentic flavours. Restaurant was very busy and staff very friendly and efficient. Ask for ‘Apna” style if you want something something more traditional with the caveat that it’s not hot. Enjoy.

The bearded waiter is horrendous to say the least. This guy had an attitude problem the moment we walked into the restaurant. We asked if we can have table for 2. He glared at us and did not answer. I then followed up by asking if they are open. He glared again. This time he gestured to a table to his right.

When it came to ordering, I asked for a dish and a naan. He glares at me, sighs, and says “what kind of naan”? I said plain naan. Their own menu had just “naan” for plain naan. He then gets annoyed and starts telling me I need to be clear with my order. At this point, I just walked out. This is not the first time I have been treated poorly by Bangladeshis. Since, they come from a homogenous society, they tend to treat people with Eastern features with utmost disdain.

And for god’s sake, stop calling yourself an Indian restaurant. It’s a Bangladeshi restaurant. I know because I...

5 stars really is the least you can give to Lal Quilla based on the food. It's premium quality at a good price. If you're eating in, book ahead. We had a party of ten which is the largest I think they'd be able to accommodate in one long table. The interior is tight and busy, not least because it was a full house on a Saturday evening but also because the takeaway customers have to come in to the main restaurant to collect which means their front door is continually opening and closing. Our table was right next to the door but I have to say the breeze was welcome relief in what is a warm environment. The environment is also noisy when it's full, while the service is a little slow on account of how popular they are. Bring your own alcohol, and if it needs chilling they were more than happy to do so. These...

Make a booking here as it isnt the largest restaurant. Don't rely on a walk in as you may be disappointed. Actually, you would be disappointed. The food was fantastic. I had a Dhansak with extra chilli. A lovely thick sauce. We were a party of 8 and all enjoyed our food, not one issue with our orders. A 4 star however instead of a 5 as we felt the service at the table seemed a little off. Yes, it was busy and one could say that the guys front of house were under pressure but it was like items were being thrown onto the table and they were rather miserable for the best part of the service. As this was my first time here, I'm not sure if this is always the case and so haven't marked down to a lower score. One hopes that this is a rarity as it would be a shame for people to be put...
