To find this pub, after searching "Blackpool", was a blessing in disguise at the time, 3 visits ago. At that time, i did not care what derogatory comments were made about this place but, are now more wiser as to the reasons why. I do not criticize people, unless it is very warranted The wonderful karaoke hosts, ;- "George, Lorraine" , &, gorgeous barlady "Julie" (cooooooor), were absolutely sublime, &, they stood out, thanks to their welcoming attitude, amazing singing (karaoke), &, overall connection with the customers, as it was 2nd to none. Then, we had the misfortune to have met 2 people behind the bar, who have equally got serious behavioural, &, attitudinal traits about them. We loved 2 go back their when over "Blackpool" however, these 2 "Harridans", have put paid to that, for future visits!!! I initially gave the pub, a 5 star rating but, for no valid reason, during my 1st visit to "The Lifeboat Inn", over a completely innocent comment about putting lemonade in a drink firstly, then the fruit juice, so it doesn't fizz up so much, all hell broke loose, initially by someone called;- "LAURA"!!! On my 2nd visit to "Blackpool", nothing was said, &, now on my past, 3rd visit to "Blackpool", &, this pub, though i neither said, nor did anything wrong to warrant the behaviour that happened, &, though via her rude mother, i tried to apologise if she took offence the very1st time we went in the pub, &, so we could move forward without any animosities, her "Very Rude Mother;- KAREN" (the stand-in manager) slated me, saying i was rude, &, arrogant to have said anything, &, when i most definately wasn't. She instantly, also took a dislike to me, for no valid reason. Both;- "LAURA", &, "KAREN, have serious attitude, &, rudeness about them! They are both trouble causing bints, with telling lies behind 1's back, i know for a fact, it is very true, from a very credible source, &, they are equally, right misery guts between them both, &, honestly, are the ones with the serious attitude problems with some customers. I have spotted her twice, in my 3 visits, gossiping with other staff members about me, who would not divulge what she had said. I gave her no reason to do this. She has now put us right off going in their, ever again! They are not friendly people, &, for reasons of her own, she ("KAREN") sacked the karaoke d.j's husband;- "GEORGE" (who'd done nothing wrong so), in protest, his karaoke d.j wife;- "LORRAINE" has walked out due to them, so have other customers, who only went in for their karaoke! Honestly, 100%, i strongly suggest you give this pub a very wide berth, whilst those 2 horrible females work their, &, go to somewhere where your custom is appreciated, &, where you do not get aggro' from arrogant, rude female staff, such as the ones mentioned above. THE REST OF THE BAR STAFF, BY THE WAY, ARE LOVELY!!! Seriously, the real landlady;- "NANCY" (who hasn't been their for many weeks), needs to see what goes on behind her back, &, be the 1 sacking those 2 women ("Laura", &, "Karen"), as they are now going to be losing lots of custom, &, a lot of revenue, whilst they remain at her pub. Word has already got around the local area, &, via this forum, trip advisor, facebook, &, other social media sites, with regards to those womens behaviour so, please heed the warnings from a proper reviewer, who speaks as to what they see, hear, &, find, especially when someones arrogance offends deeply.

Really friendly place. Get there early if you want a seat. When I say early I mean early before 2pm! The owner and bar staff really make you feel welcome and your other fellow drinkers are a good crowd too. The real main event here is the Karaoke this starts at about 1pm and runs until 10pm. Fantastic fun! Drinks here are reasonably priced £3.80 for a pint of Heineken.

I have to say I wouldn't rush back to this pub any time soon. The inside is quite small and doesn't have much seating area. The decor in the place looks about 30 years old - including the still yellow from smoke ceiling. The pints were okay and got served quite quick at the bar, BUT, there was just something that struck me as rude from the barmaid and that means I wouldn't go back. When I went to order, there were 2 other people stood at the bar that looked like they were waiting. When she asked me what I want, I asked if the other 2 were waiting and she abruptly replied - if they were waiting I wouldn't have served you would I? That kind of made me think rude, so I said we'll where we come from its kind of polite to ask before pushing in. Her response is well its my job to know who's waiting and not yours. Personally- I just found her rude and off putting and that ruined it for me. Other than that, the karaoke was good. we were constantly swatting little knats and fruit flies, but I suppose that can't be helped as...

Always a good place to visit, we tend to go in the afternoon when there's karaoke on.

There's never a shortage of singers.

It's well run, bar service is quick and the tables are cleared quickly of empty glasses, although when it's very busy - don't be surprised to hear an announcement to return glasses to the bar when going up for more drinks.

Great atmosphere, there are local regulars and often groups of tourists who go in from the nearby hotels on their Monday to Friday coach trip holidays.

Not the cheapest place for drinks and if that's what people are looking for - there's a much cheaper bar next door. But, it's a sports bar with no atmosphere and no entertainment.

It's a small bar, seating is a little awkward for everyone to see the singers and there's not a great deal of room to...
