The Ardwick — Restaurant in England

This is a great pub with a great atmosphere and has got cheap drinks as any Amber Taverns brewery in the uk and the security do a fantastic job and so are the bar staff are also some of the best considering the pressure they face in that trade and location week after week however its completely ruined by the unprofessional behaviour of the same short woman with the short black hair every week, 29th and 30th August she refused a customer with a valid citizens card stating they don't take this form of I.D which is 1 of 4 legal proofs of identity and Amber tavern do except this card a young member of staff also told her it was valid but she didn't seem to want to be corrected so made her decision stand, she also challenges her fellow staff members which has been witnessed several times behind the bar she then shouted and another customer after she misheard his order which seemed straight forward slamming glasses down in front of him, this person should definitely not be working in customer services and is someone that can impact a customers behaviour and reputation of the premises and considering her profile has been mentioned several times in these negative comments says it all I hope the manager there is aware of these frequent complaints as I'm in there every month and I will be making recordings of this woman's behaviour and will be sending it to Amber Taverns along with these logged...

Now in February 2024 Id not been in for a couple of months due to ill health but upon my first return yester Friday 9th feb i was shocked to discover that the DJ , Barry is not anymore at the ardwick😪. Well i can understand why as with a loudmouth landlady not given s careless about customer care and service 😪😡 but now just now i ve heard that she treated barry just as s..t as she does us customers so he left. Her lost as the new DJ is rubbish, bar staff know it and so do us the customers, er i might now say excustomers who wont have a night club bang bang noice banging out fro as early as 10pm. We older lot need our places to drink after even after 11:30 pm too ya know. Well I will not be in again so quickly, id stayed loyal for aound 7-8 months but that's it. ✖️✖️✖️✖️

6 months ago in September 2023? Again a massive fantastic night here in the Ardwick , 100 out of 10 for Barry the DJ, 😃 great songs all the way from the moment he started over 2 hrs ago now. Id been on a downer all week, but barry has really cheered me up tonight, having his usual jokes with folks , and i expect with me later too 😃😃 with 95% of songs played and on karaoke its been a fantastically great night so far, many hours to go yet, but i expect them to be as great. 😃😃 bar staff as always...

I stumbled across this pub when researching our trip to Blackpool and was amazed at their claims of pints at £1.65. When I walked past it by chance I felt I had to give it a go just to see if it really was that cheap. Well the pice had edged up to £1.80 a pint (for cider, others available in the offer).

I was pleasantly surprised by the pub itself, the clientele were not kids on the lash but rather people of the older generation trying to stretch out their holiday money. Decent seating, quick bar service and cracking 80's music played in the background. Probably a great venue to catch a match as it had loads of HD TVs up...
