Read moreMy experience was dire. We visited on the Monday 11th August. I was at the bar and I enquired with the bar man as to what type of beer the choice was. His reply "I have no idea, I don't drink and I don't want to die". I was dumbfounded at this response, so I then asked the woman behind the bar who was putting glasses or bottles away. He stood there looking at me not interested. The woman very politely told me it was a pale ale. When the barman was pumping the beer, another customer who was a lady, politely asked him what lagers they had, he gave her the same reply as he gave me, which was in no way, shape or form done jokingly. I chose the "Deluxe Burger" with two (!) 6 oz beef patties, and it's quite a bargain. While the patties are certainly convenience products, they were well grilled - still juicy. The fries that came with it were crispy - not the flabby, soggy kind you usually get with fish & chips. The seating areas inside aren't exactly comfy, but you're not supposed to linger here. There's also a small seating area outside.
For a quick meal and drink you can do a lot worse in Blackpool than at The...
