Fantastic, lives up to the hype. We visited Dirty Blondes today, as a group of 6, for the first time after reading and hearing lots of good things. And we weren't disappointed.

Firstly the venue. As it's openly explained on the web page, this isn't really a restaurant - more of a late night venue with more of a dining ethos recently due to covid. But still felt great (we mainly came to eat), with an "urban" feel, great music etc.

The staff - absolutely spot on. I've eaten and drank in a lot of different places and a lot of them could learn a lot from seeing how the staff work at DB. One of my gripes with a lot of places I've eaten in the past is the fact that it's hard to get the attention of somebody once your order has been taken. Not at DB, the staff are always quietly checking on you to make sure everything was OK with food and whether you needed any more drinks etc. Honestly could not fault anything here.

And the food - as a family, we usually make sure we order enough so thought 3 pizzas, 24 wings and a couple of loaded waffle fries would be good. I'm now glad we decided to "downsize" from 3 pizzas to 2 as they're huge! But they're also good 👍. And the chicken wings, think they may have been braised as the meat just fell off the bone and were SO tasty.

The only "disappointment" we had was we didn't get to have a dessert! Firstly due to only having a 2 hour dining slot but that's our fault for eating too slow - others have to eat too. And secondly that we probably wouldn't have managed to eat a dessert after the main course 🤣🤣🤣. But next time we can make sure we use our time wisely

Would I eat at Dirty Blondes again? Yes. And would I recommend anybody eat there? Absolutely.

Looking forwards to...

I found this spot when searching for cocktails in Blackpool. The reviews were great and they were right! The website stood out to me and there was even a page where you could meet the team behind what is now one of my favourite bars - I was only visiting Blackpool!

Will and Sean served cocktails and food to me. They were brilliant and welcoming. It was here that I sat at a bar on my own for the first time and I could see the team working as efficiently as they could.

I actually went twice because I loved it so much! Sadly, the Paradise Coast upstairs was closed both times.

The first dish I ordered was the homemade buffalo chicken wings. They were spicy (just right) with additional chillies on top.

The second time I went, I got the homemade jerk BBQ & cola chicken wings. Cola is my least favourite carbonated soft drink, but the sauce was fantastic!

The amount of sauce was great for both dishes. The wings came in a bowl, with both wet and dry tissues to help clean up those saucy fingers. 6 wings were the right amount for me.

The Dirty Drumstick was a lovely cocktail that had a Drumstick sweet at the top. The Blackpool Rocks cocktail was bursting with watermelon goodness and went very well with the cola ribs.

I can recommend...

Booked a table a month in advance for my partners birthday. I arranged with staff over Facebook messenger if I was okay to bring decorations and if they were able to decorate. There was no issue over message. The only thing I wasn’t allowed to bring was confetti, which is completely understandable. On the day of the booking, a friend dropped off decorations for me and stated I need to call them before arrival, when I phoned and confirmed my booking, I also checked about the decorations. I asked if they were okay to still decorate, however, they told me that they are not that type of establishment and they would not decorate for me. I have no issue with decorating the table myself, however I was not pre-warned until 30 minutes before my booking. They also stated that they would not bring the birthday cake out as they are very busy and there is only 3 staff behind the bar, again which is understandable, however I was not pre-warned. We have ate food. I’ve drank cocktails many times at dirty blondes and have never had an issue. However, this has completely changed my mind. I understand if they do not offer the services, however it should’ve been made clear when I arranged my...

5 stars isn't enough for this place. The atmosphere was fantastic so relaxed with Decent music. It wasn't so loud you couldn't talk but too quiet where it felt awkward. The food was so goooood!! The portions for the price was bigger than expected and tasted amazing. I'm really surprised with the cocktails aswell. I don't usually order them as you pay a high price for a tiny glass but I really wanted to try one and it was definitely worth it. The staff was so efficient and polite it's the best service iv ever had. I can't remember the girls name who served us but she was soo nice. Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely dive bar on the back streets of Blackpool. Great playlist of music, nice to see some craft beers from Seven Brothers on tap and only £5 for the IPA a pint which is good. The pizza is huge, it's nice to see some different styles and the pizza is freshly baked. It's perhaps a bit more expensive than you may pay elsewhere but worth it. We had the Philly cheese Steak pizza which was quite spicy but nice. It could have benefitted from a tad more beef if I'm being picky. Would probably be a good venue on an evening.
