Disappointing coffee unfortunately, as I had high hopes given it’s on the Best Coffee app. Milk was too hot and coffee burnt šŸ˜” Edit since reply from owner: I’m no expert but the burnt taste was likely from over-extraction.

The Split Bean road side van (Layby on road between Bude and Clovelly), is always a treat! Whenever I'm working up this way I try and catch them. I've only ever tried the coffee and the burgers but boy are they good!!

Had some lovely vegan cheesy fries and a delicious vegan flapjack. Decent price and outdoor seating. Has also vegan options for mains. Well done!

Charged 17.50 for two chips, fish finger and chips, coke and apple juice, we thought expensive but justified it as we were sharing between 4, however after a while I was told they were out of fish fingers, offered a different meal or refund, opted for refund and was told hot dogs in the market were great. She said she’d find me when the chips were done. Refunded the fish fingers and chips at 7.50, no problem. I bought the hot dog elsewhere which was nice. Lady, true to her word finds me puts the chips and drinks in my carrier bag as my hands were full by this time. I get back to my family realising two things, first, I was charged a tenner for two chips, a tin of coke and an apple juice. Secondly, only one portion of chips was in the bag, all in all a disappointing rip off was so far away from establishment I couldn’t get back as kids had waited long enough for lunch as it was. Also whilst waiting for my meal someone else was moaning that their Cornish pasty had been microwaved and wasn’t great. At these prices I would expect a good pasty that hadn’t been microwaved. Especially when...

Excellent location on the canal side in Bude. The coffee is good but a standard latte is on the small side and a large is what I'd call a normal. The cake option is ok and all the flapjacks are vegan. (Sorry but vegan flapjack is never as good as normal flapjack). Cheesy chips are good but at £4 not cheap. Staff are friendly and helpful but the cream tea scones are a disappointment. It's worth a stop and a drink, enjoy...

What a wonderful treat on a blustery winter's day. Wrapped up well against the elements, we sat on the bench outside this little gem of a coffee shop and enjoyed lovingly prepared coffee and hot chocolate. Truly artisan and locally sourced, with a passionate owner/barista taking the time to connect with his customers. Highly recommended. Thank you and good luck for the...
