UnBarred Brewery & Taproom — Restaurant in England

I absolutely love this place, the beers are amazing, the staff are friendly and there is always a fun vibe. HOWEVER, they have a serious mould problem.

The moment you go in you can smell the mould and see it quite literally everywhere around the Brewing Tanks, the floor, the walls and the ceiling. The smell is quite off putting and it makes you seriously question the hygiene.

I go to this small taproom every time I go to Brighton which is only a couple of times a year. I visited last night and I must say the beers were excellent and the range has improved so there is something for all types of beer drinkers. As well as the usual impressive hoppy ales I was also blown away by their ESB and Stoutzilla. I can't remember ever going to a brewery where they have absolutely nailed each style. Great little taproom and well priced (eg £5.25 for 2/3 of a 9.2% imperial stout - Brewdog and the like charged £6-7.50 yesterday for 1/3 of similar).

Plenty of dark beers on offer so big thumbs up from me.

Only downside for me is a very poor Vodafone signal (was same last year when I visited) - there is WiFi but it's one of those you have to sign up to and give your mobile number, so a no from me. Taking ages to upload my...
