The Hare and Hounds — Restaurant in England

This place was the embodiment of my university experience, and I mean that in a good way. The amount of hours I’ve spent in this pubs beer garden is unreal. The atmosphere is always fun, especially at night, the staff are lovely, the food is really good (although not the best pub food I’ve had in Brighton either). The alcohol prices are as expensive as you’d expect from most pubs in Brighton, but the student deals are really really good value. When I was a student I didn’t really enjoy more student centric places like the hobgoblin as I didn’t like the crowds and tacky music. I remember finding The Hare and Hounds, that also catered well to students but had a much more down to earth atmosphere, and it feeling like a godsend. Awful customer service, made an enquiry online and called immediately afterwards to follow up, I was told by a member of staff that as I had been able to make an enquiry, that meant there was enough availability and I would definitely have that booking and would receive my confirmation within 24 hours. Over 48 hours have passed without a confirmation so I called again, only to be spoken to by an extremely rude member of staff who did not want to help, or was apologetic in the slightest. Went to Hare and Hounds on Wednesday. The bar staff have no customer service skills. One in particular the short girl with brown hair. Food was thrown on the table with no communication or acknowledgement. Rolled eyes when asked for mayo. When ordering a drink at the bar I took a second to think about the other drink I was ordering and the same bar woman said “come on what do you want” I felt this was extremely rude and uncomfortable.
