Ah I'm so glad I booked this although nobody asked for our reservation at all. Good variety of drinks and reasonable prices, welcoming staff, clean, outside bench seating which closes at 10pm, plenty of seating downstairs. The actual arcade is a lot smaller space than I expected but they had Aircon which was welcoming and some GREAT throwback games as well as the racing game which you get little driving licences for! It was £4pp for ONE 20lap race or £10pp for THREE 20lap races. We felt one was enough. The other games are 50p/£1 a game so really reasonable and you can pay cash or contactless. Downstairs they had the photo booth which I LOVED! was £4. There is also an area to play board games but I didn't look at it. Would definitely go back and wish there was a local one to me!

Really enjoyed my Friday night here. The vegan noms are AMAZING. Never had vegan chicken like it... and I'm not even a vegan but oh my lord. We booked in advance for a hen weekend. Upstairs is an arcade and mini racecar track which is soso fun, especially when you're a bit tipsy. We paid for our race car rides in advance too which helped the night flow smoothly. Lovely, friendly staff who probably got super annoyed by us gaggle of gals screaming the place down but they were fab. Will definitely visit again when I next go to Brighton!

The World's End has changed A LOT since I last went there. They have re-jigged the lighting and made it a lot more colourful. The dark corners where you can hide away have gone. It looks and feels so much better for it. The biggest change is that it's now an arcade pub with Tron-like car racing upstairs (and a bunch of other arcade games), and downstairs there are four Virtual Reality booths where you can team up with your buddy and shoot up the galaxy. IT IS AWESOME!! I LOVE IT SO HARD!

Have always loved coming to this place and was excited to come again for the first time since returning from abroad (2+ years since last visit). Was very disappointed with both the food and the service. Firstly, although friendly and welcoming, the two staff members who were on shift were not attentive at all. I understand everything is ordered through the app but at no point did we have someone check back on us, or just walk by our table to give us the opportunity to ask for assistance. This made us feel not at all valued as customers and embarrassed to complain when served flat beer or cold food.

To go into more detail, the beer I ordered arrived warm and flat with a metallic taste (it was the Laine Lager) and when I finally got someone’s attention I found out it had been the first pour of the day aka line beer. They replaced it without question but made me feel as though I should have just put up with it/like I was making them go out of their way to do their jobs... admittedly I had to shout across from our table to the bar where the staff were sat on their phones and they seemed displeased to be interrupted.

The kitchen has changed since my last visit, now cooking up an exciting vegan menu. We ordered the chilli dog, the “stuff your face” burger and the jackfruit loaded fries. Everything had wonderful flavour and could have been really good; however, the fries were undercooked and cold once you moved the toppings, the chilli dog had a soggy bun, and the burger came out not even slightly warm.

Again, I had to shout across the bar to get someone’s attention, as no check back was made on our table. Again, I felt like I was making the staff member really go out of his way to take back our burger. I asked for it to just be heated up, to save waste, and when it came back it was slightly warm, but now also with a soggy bun. I asked for it to be shoved back in an oven to prevent this from happening but my guess is it was just microwaved.

After deciding that we didn’t wish to finish our food, we actually made the decision to take the remainder of our drinks in plastic takeaway cups as, by this point, we really didn’t feel comfortable or welcome by the staff any more.

All in all, very disappointed with the whole experience, but have given two stars as the flavours of the food were bang on and they did replace my pint when I asked. The worst thing may be the fact that we were one of only four tables, the rest all being couples/a single person, so this can’t be put down to it being busy.

Please take this as constructive criticism. I’m not just trying to be a pain, and rarely write negative reviews unless I feel it is absolutely necessary. I would definitely like to visit again in the future to give you guys...

The World’s End Pub in Brighton is a popular spot known for its vibrant atmosphere and extensive entertainment options, including a retro arcade, a 10-person remote-controlled race track, and various board games. However, while the overall vibe and the friendly staff receive high marks, there are notable areas for improvement, particularly with the food and drinks.

Atmosphere and Entertainment

The pub’s lively atmosphere is a major draw, enhanced by its unique gaming options. Patrons can enjoy an engaging and fun-filled environment, making it an ideal place for both casual hangouts and special gatherings. The friendly and knowledgeable staff contribute positively to the experience, ensuring that guests feel welcome and well taken care of.

Food and Drinks

Despite the exciting atmosphere, the food and drinks at The World’s End Pub have garnered mixed reviews. Both categories have been rated around two stars by some patrons. The pub serves a range of BBQ dishes, but there have been complaints about certain items not meeting expectations. For example, while the beef brisket and chili-cheese hot dog are flavorful, the fries (which are actually chunky chips) and the overly vinegary condiments detract from the overall dining experience.

Passionfruit Martini

One specific area for improvement is the Passionfruit Martini. Currently, it seems to lack the balance and vibrancy expected from this popular cocktail. Enhancing the quality of ingredients, ensuring a proper balance of sweetness and tartness, and possibly incorporating fresh passionfruit juice could elevate this drink significantly.

Recommendations

Food Quality: The pub could benefit from refining its menu to better meet customer expectations. Ensuring that classic BBQ staples like wings are available and improving the consistency and quality of the side dishes would be a good start. Drink Menu: Improving the cocktail offerings, starting with the Passionfruit Martini, can enhance the bar experience. Using premium ingredients and refining the recipes will help in achieving this. Customer Feedback: Actively seeking and incorporating customer feedback can help in identifying areas for continuous improvement, ensuring that both food and drinks meet the high standards set by the pub’s lively atmosphere and friendly service.

In summary, while The World’s End Pub excels in providing a fun and engaging environment with excellent staff and a variety of entertainment options, focusing on improving the food and drink offerings can significantly enhance the...

Disgusted by the way we was treated by the guys running the race track upstairs when we asked for a refund we was told they had spoken to their manager and she wouldn't issue us a refund I asked them if they had informed her of what had gone on and they said yes I couldn't believe a manager wouldn't refund as little as 12 pounds for her employees mistake we left the money and didn't go on the race also left the pub disapointed . To put the story short we was in the que and was asked to wait for the next race by the 2 men working their with that we agreed no one else was in the que at this point so we thaught yes we can all race each other it will be fun by the time the rave was over we had baught our tickets and was at the front of the que we was then asked to go up the ramps at the other side where people get off so we went their by the time everyone got off we went to get on for our turn turns put 1 machine was broke to this man say in the seat 1 of us was going to use the lads then explained to us that someone should get off at this point their was 2 people that hadn't baught a ticket so we assumed they would wait for next race but no the guys let them buy a ticket then still asked someone to get off no one was so we said we will but didn't have time to wait for next race they said they would sort us out so we went to get a refund and was told no they can't why not tell us that before you let us get off and why not own the fact you was aware we 1 machine was broke and should have asked the couple that hadn't paid to get off we felt slight discriminated on as we're all older and was treated like we was senile lol what a joke the man was going ow I don't know what you want me to do .
