First (and wont be the last) visit to WabI Sabi... took close family for an easy lunch, neither of them had really experienced a range of Japanese cuisine before so all new for them. Table booked online and arrived early, seated very quickly and then ordered drinks while we worked our way through the menu. The menu is daunting to first timers, lots of options and maybe some clearer explanations for some. We ordered a selection of appetisers and tempura, then a Bento box and couple of mains that included a Donburi bowl and a Katsu Curry to appease the teenager who would compare to Waga*****. We asked for dishes to arrive as and when they are ready which was great. All food was superb, clean and fresh and served with a typically Japanese care and precision. The beef tataki was amazing and the Katsu was much better than the chain version, thumbs up and indeed conversation from the 14 year old! Should have taken more photos but got lost in the moment and enjoyed the food and conversation. Definitely going back... I mentioned Waga***** which on looking would have cost more for a lesser quality! support local. X

Good food, gotten by deliveroo so servicetechnucally by them but quick and no issues, got everything we wanted and needed. Maybe the restaraunt would've had more energy. Problem, half an egg...... seriously couldn't put in a whole egg. I know eggs are expensive at the moment however bulk buying and through a reataraunt, I would've assumed a half an egg wouldn't have been breaking the metaphorical egg. The kimchi was only half full which makes me think the price of cabbage has gone up significantly in 2024. For 5 quid I would've either been making more kimchi in bulk as it should store due to the fermentation practices or use a smaller tub and fill it up. I did really like they put cling film over the broth and the lid over the cling film. Good work

Loved this place! The restaurant itself feels cosy and intimate, with bold colourful murals, silk flowers and a lovely faux cherry tree cascading in the centre. While the menu options are so vast, they're initially quite daunting, every dish we selected was cooked / marinaded / cured to perfection. The service was excellent - staff are friendly and professional, and food delivery was super quick. Very rarely does my hubs give a 10 out of 10 as an all-round score, but Wabi Sabi managed this effortlessly. We will definitely be going back. Mission: to get through the whole menu!

An amazing dinner anniversary!

Greeted kindly at the door, we arrived early, but were courteously given a choice of table as soon as we arrived (not because it was empty, but because we got lucky). The atmosphere is amazing and the interior very cute.

For drinks we had a unique take on the classic Caipirinha and Pornstar martini cocktails. Very nicely presented and tasted delicious.

We started our dinner with the tempura prawns and chicken gyoza. The prawns were amazing, the tempura batter was close to perfect! The Gyoza was good but had room for improvement. Overall good start.

We then opted for the King salmon roll, creamy salmon uramaki, california roll and the dragon unagi roll. They were all fantastic and tasted so fresh! The king salmon roll, stile the show!

Our Waitress, Jess, was kind and knowledgeable and at the end of our dinner, she surprised us with a cute desert platter to celebrate. 10/10

A lovely experience for this memorable day! Well done to the whole team...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wabi Sabi, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The drinks were a real highlight, each beautifully presented and thoughtfully crafted with top-quality Japanese spirits. The sushi was delicately assembled, with incredibly fresh, high-grade fish that made every bite a delight.

The hot dishes were equally impressive, hearty and comforting—perfect for the evening. Despite it being rush hour, the team did an outstanding job of looking after us, ensuring we felt well cared for throughout our meal. The restaurant’s interior is stunning, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were not only lovely but also professional and attentive.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly...
