The first and foremost point to raise here is that even though it was a Saturday night, the establishment offered free entry.

We were seated within 10/15 minutes of arrival as a group of six and really had the best luck in being placed right next to the piano. The pianist was excellent in taking requests and getting the audience involved. He played several of our requests and for that we left a sizable tip.

All drinks were served to our table by our waitress who was quick to fix any problems. We had a cocktail glass shatter because it was so cold and before we could even get the table cleaned, 2 cocktails were made up and brought to us on the house.

We spent over 2 hours here and enjoyed every minute. The only slight negative I would add was the location of the toilets. It was a fair old trek for tired old legs.

Really wasn’t impressed at all. We were excited to visit here after hearing good things but we didn’t even stay for a drink. I get it was a busy Saturday but in my opinion there’s no excuse for such bad customer service. We arrived on time (after having booked our table over three weeks ago!) and the host looked like a deer in headlights and clearly didn’t know where to put us as all other tables were full. She told us to go to the bar and she’d get our table ready, but 10 minutes later we were still waiting on a drink, our table and the host completely ignored us and started washing glasses! A much much better system needs put in place. It’s a small bar - please only accommodate the amount of customers you can actually fit, or else it’s just a mess! Especially for booked customers!! I was in with a friend at the end of a shift in a bar for a couple of drinks. Atmosphere was nice, drinks where superb but 25 before close the lights went up and the bar team started stacking stools. The door team then asked me to start drinking up and the bar didn't even shut for a further 10 minutes. We where then asked to drink up a further two times before licencing hours where even finished. I felt rushed out the venue with 10 minutes legal drinking up time left. It is the last time I will ever go for a drink after work. So disappointed as it is my venue of choice normally.
