BOBA BLVD — Restaurant in Great Britain

My little ones had never tried Bubble Tea before so we decided to pop into Boba Blvd as we went past. Nice looking little place, not far from the Broadway with on street parking available outside. Staff are friendly and helpful but it is a very young team and there was clearly no manager on site when we visited. Unfortunately the girl who brought the drinks to the table, dropped one, which subsequently exploded and covered both my children, myself, my phone and wallet in juice. Whilst she was very apologetic, no one came to see if we would like anything else as way of compensation for us all sitting there soaked through and all their attention was focused on cleaning the table, rather than providing us towels/napkins to dry ourselves. After moving to another table, I went up to the counter to order another drink for myself and was most surprised when, after this inconvenience, we were expected to pay the full price. After politely suggesting that it might in fact be appropriate, to at least offer a discount for the additional item, it was only then begrudgingly given. I believe this situation would have been better dealt with, had a manager been present. Not the best overall experience but the fruit teas themselves were actually rather good. Friday 16.08.24 Straight up not happy, we have traveled 45 min out of the way to get a coffee with boba, arrived 18:40 coffe not available - machine was already cleaned.. staff told us we are too late and cannot have a coffee. We ordered other milk teas.. served by chewed up red nails 💅 straws for our drinks was given to us wet, she touch the money the ingredients and the straws by the end you drink from there fore we walked out driven home then opened our drinks after cleaning the straws as we were rushed out 18:50 Would we know we can’t have a coffee at 6:45? We wouldn’t have bothered coming. Really nice atmosphere and instagramable decor but was so disappointed by the milk teas. I’ve tried a few now to check it wasn’t a one off. The coffee boba tasted really artificial. The créme brûlée boba had split, so the texture was disgusting (jelly bits in it). I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try the most basic of milk teas, the brown sugar boba, and it was the same AWFUL artificial taste. Straight up chemicals. Wait times are also crazy long! If they were to fix these issues, I’d definitely be a regular customer, but for now there is a much better alternative...
