I hate writing poor reviews but Le Jardine has left me no choice as the current rating is misleading owing to the quality and service we received today. 5 items from the menu not available, 2 accompaniments also not available. Had to go with 4th choice of meal and was only convinced not to go elsewhere by my partner. Massive choice on the menu which is part of the problem of not ensuring adequate stock. Service was slow, despite social distancing taking out lots of the tables. Waited over 25 minutes for drinks. Milkshakes were tasteless and sadly not worth the wait. Food came and it looked good, although the burger was a child-size burger and so overcooked so it was dry. We were not asked if our meals were OK at any point. We came a couple of years ago and really enjoyed the food and service however on this occasion it has fallen well short of expectations and below minimum acceptable level in my opinion. We wont be returning. I tried to have a constructive conversation with the manager and she was incredibly rude to me and another customer who complained. This has made the 3 star review a 2 star. I will be contacting the owner of the business and I'm sure they will be interested to hear the feedback.

Well, I went in here because it looked nice and had passed it many times on holiday. Wanted a nice breakfast for me and pacifically pancakes for my child. Saw on the menu that they did sell them £6.50? Got inside and was greeted by a nice lady who brought us menus and some colouring paper and pens for my son. Gave us enough time to look over the menu. Ordered mine which was nearly £11 and asked how many pancakes and how big they were. 5 pancakes and the size of a side plate would have been well too much for him and I don't like waste. So I asked if could just have 2 or 3? "No, I'm sorry we can't." Now, I've been a chef most of my adult life and worked in restaurants and cafes and been in a lot where they will 'accommodate' for you as it's good customer service and for returning custom. So was surprised they were not willing for a child. So I said we would leave it and go somewhere else. Only got 1 photo. So gave 2 stars for the nice decor and that they had things for children even though they can't provide small meals for them?

VERY happy coeliac finding a lovely restaurant which has its own gluten free menu! Lots to choose from, I had the lasagne and it was amazing, the flavour wasn't compromised with it being gluten free. I also got the option of a lovely slice of gluten-free carrot cake afterwards which was delicious! The staff are so lovely and on hand for any queries- very friendly and accommodating. Would really recommend this place gluten-free or not- my other half had a huge burger and said it was fantastic and my little boy had a snack box. Really accomodating of children and families so a fabulous all rounder.

WARNING will not accommodate dietary requirements. I asked for poached eggs instead of fried eggs for my breakfast, and I was told "no, and asked if it was ok". Like no, for dietary reasons I cannot eat fried eggs, it's not like any additional cost or ingredients go into poaching eggs, less in fact. I was lead to believe that the reason for this was because the kitchen was busy, which is a LIE reading other reviews seems to be a common issue. Never has anywhere else refused to accommodate a simple swap, what happened to the customer is always right? It's not like the kitchen was too busy to make poached eggs, because I then ordered this. So it's management just wanting control. And if its because your chef isn't capable to swap one ingredient, I think it's time you hired another chef. The worst customer service I've come across. Which is partly why anyone would choose somewhere like this, but I've experienced better customer service in Spoons. Contrastingly the night before I had eaten in a restaurant, the food was cold, but the customer service was great, so they have not recieved a bad review at all. Three 1 star reviews in quick succession over poached eggs, really should be sending a message to management - your policies are not pleasing all of your customers, pleasing all of your customers would be accommodating the different needs. Clearly run by someone with no people skills and no...

Not good. We visited for breakfast and was left very disappointed. The waiter was incompetent and lacked any form of charisma. My friend ordered the veggie breakfast but with poached eggs instead of fried, we were told this was not possible. Very confusing, as they clearly did poached eggs on the menu, we even said we'd pay extra if it was an issue of pricing. He came back and apologised, his manager would not let him. We all come from a hospitality background and were dumbfounded and appalled by such an avoidable issue. It's not difficult, and take the extra charge, you're a business! In the end, my breakfast had poached eggs so we swapped our eggs right there on the table - it was as EASY as that!! Also, the third member of our party ordered the breakfast muffin spinach and eggs. They could have at least cooked the spinach - it was well and truly cold and raw, and was not mentioned on the menu to be as such. We didn't want to complain again. My meal was OK, but how bad can you mess up beans on toast, right? Overall, very disappointed, won't be getting our...
