Manifest is the freshest addition to the Swansea food scene – opened by partners Poppy & Danny, who’ve brought big Aussie café vibes into this lush little spot.

Pronounced “ah-sah-EE”, açai is a Brazilian superfruit packed with antioxidants, fibre & healthy fats – and their soft serve version is completely dairy-free and gluten-free 🙌

Here’s what we had: 🥗 Sriracha Chicken Salad Bowl – feta, sweet potato, greens… absolute flavour bomb 🍓 Child’s Açai Bowl – banana, strawbs & choc sauce (don’t judge, it slapped) 🍫 Iced Mocha – smooth, chocolatey and strong 🍓 Strawberry Iced Matcha – sweet, refreshing, totally different and lush

The matcha and acai bowls were lovely. It was a bit pricey (just over £16 for both), but I don't mind paying more if it's good.

I don't know if maybe I caught them on a bad day, but the woman serving on the till this afternoon was quite rude and abrupt and made us feel unwelcome, even before we started ordering. She made me feel like a burden for my dietary requirements and that I was a nuisance because she had to get the allergen book. She also added things to my order that I didn't ask for, so I had to correct her so I didn't pay for extra toppings that I didn't want. We noticed we weren't the only customers that day that this happened with.

The rest of the staff were really helpful and friendly to be fair.

First time trying out this new cafe, admittedly I’m probably not the target audience for this type of business but being someone that always enjoys trying new things I gave it a go and it did not disappoint. Danny (the owner), lovely gentleman, took the time to walk me through the type of place they are, what they offer and told me the story of how the business came to be. I had a make your own bowl consisting of Granola, honey, banana, strawberries and pineapple with a good serving of Açai soft serve which was absolutely lovely. Lovely fresh, high quality fruit. Thoroughly enjoyed my first bowl. All the best in their future endeavours and I will definitely be returning...
