Popworld York is an absolute gem in the city's nightlife scene! It was my first time visiting York, and I couldn’t have picked a better spot to reunite with friends I hadn’t seen in ages. The vibrant atmosphere and retro decor set the perfect backdrop for a memorable night. The rotating dance floor and decade-themed DJ music were just brilliant — we found ourselves dancing to all our favorite tunes from the '80s, '90s, and beyond.

What really made the night stand out, though, was the exceptional service, especially from Kat. She was beyond amazing, making sure my first experience at Popworld, and my reunion with friends, was nothing short of fantastic. Wow what can I say it dosnt even deserve a one star. I was here with my partner having a good night there was a young woman in dancing and enjoying herself when two bouncers came over dragged her out she litreally was not doing anything wrong. A man tried to intervene telling the bouncers they were out of order and he got flung out too and hit. We left after this and seen the bouncers flinging the girl to the floor and another woman who the girl was with. Disgusting behaviour would never ever ever return I seen it was getting videoed by another person so I hope the videos are put on social media and shared all over to make people aware off the door staff at this pub! I've heard this happens quite a lot too after speaking to people outside the pub....

Went here on Thursday night as part of a team night out and the door staff are a disgrace, one went through 2 of my friends wallets without asking (pretty sure this isn't allowed!), performed a search on one of them, they couldn't search the woman as only male door staff on duty, and when he didn't empty his jacket pockets fast enough said that he would perform a full body search if he didn't hurry up! Another colleague had to show her snapchat (?!) to prove that her ID was her own! I'm really glad these men don't work on my door. We didn't stay long as the atmosphere was strange and one of the door men inside kept coming over and staring at our group. We used to come here after every team night out but will be going...
