Welcome: This review is written after my third visit so I am quite sure the outcome was not simply a one off. The welcome one each occasion was very welcoming by the staff and by my third visit they actually knew me by face which was nice that they appreciated my return custom. Ambiance: The feeling is nice and cosy, with some booths as seating and standard chairs and table. The chairs are soft material like velour which is soft to touch and easy to move. No fake leather here!! Menu: Very well put together menu with Grills as their USP and the curry's are very very nice. Truly home cooked taste. Presentation: Presentation of menu is nicely served on a sizzler for the grills with lost of onions sizzling away and the rice is steaming hot in a ceramic curved bowl. The curries are either in a korai or in a nice curry pot. Taste: I have come back here three times because the taste of the food is so good. I use to travel to Desi Dera in Derby to eat this type of food and this place is much better hands down. Costs: The menu price is reasonable considering the competition in Leicester I am glad they have kept prices affordable so you can come back each week without worry of cost. Drinks: There is NO alcohol as this is a halal establishment but plenty of soft drinks on offer to quench your thirst. Service: Service is exceptional and we were served by a young lady named "Harsh" who is a credit to this restaurant. Her ability to understand what the customer wants and her communications skills with her team and customers is what makes her shine and I hope the management appreciate and respect her impact on the business. Recommendation: I travel 12 miles to eat here because overall they have something quite special and the hard part is to keep up the great food and...
Read moreI visited this place before when there was a different management. At that time, my experience was very good coz of claypot Biryani, which was truly awesome. This time, I was not amazed with the food. The food was not much appealing, and taste was also okay. I don't find food fresh it seems like a bit period, and spice for the grill was not speaking for itself, I have to convince myself that food is good. Kabuli pilaw, which I tried at many places, is not as sweet as this was, it taste more like zarda than kabuli pilau. Butter chicken did not have that texture, which I usually enjoy at other places. Closing was fudge cake, which was also not much delicious. Overall, I will avoid visiting this place as my family members experienced the stomach upset after this visit, which is definitely because of the food we had.
A1 service, no doubt all waitresses were on their toes. I would recommend that, along with being too attentive, they should start recommending dishes that they think are their best sellers. The service was prompt, they keep on visiting us during the course of meal which is a very kind gesture from them. Food was served according to the instructions provided. You can see the professionalism in them. Truly service oriented staff love it.
Ambience is very attractive, with perfect lights, clean tables, no smell, sitting area was clean. Entrance was welcoming. I like the arrangements made.
If I visit this place again, it will be exclusively for the service staff, food. Maybe i will try something else which this restaurant is meant for, i mean, karahi. This will maybe enhance my experience and change my ratings. Management should look into this as a priority as your effort is wasted if food quality...
Read moreSo here it gose, today i went from nottingham to leicester only for this restaurant because my husand saw a video on tiktok and we thought we shoukd give a try. First we ordered 2 person BBQ plater worth 20 pound which was totally disappointing they served us 2 wing,2chop,2 seekh kebab, and 2 chicken boti and 1 lamb boti and when we ate it they bring fries which was single serving. WORTH 20£ totally not worth it, than they bring 20 pound lamb shinwari which was alright in taste but definitely not half kg meat must be 200 or 300 grams including all spices and very very small pieces like really smaalll. And weird thing is their price 2 pound for tandori roti, 2 pound for butter naan, 2 pounds for plain naan and 2 pound for garlic naan i never seen this before and we order 2 naan which was way smaller size and weight than normally. At last the lady who served us NIKI (if i am not wrong) she was nice and cooperative we ordered pink tea where one of staff member confirmed and then denied to served us and after 40 min Niki served us as a complimentary. As she forced them to make because that guy committed us. Not happy at all management could be better and the priced of food as compared to portion not worth it it's better to go...
